They have never NEVER stated that legion would not be on PS4, they just said they are focusing on the PC alpha for the moment.

as I've already stated previously the PS4 architecture is designed so similar to PC that a port from one to the other wouldn't be that difficult.

I won't play the game on PC or PS4 either. Because again CCP Z. He wants to turn the game into a low budget destiny clone because he is one of those devs that loves to do trend chasing without actually understanding anything. And then there's hackers, for PC.

And for anything competitive I am not having hackers as a part of my game. Especially a F2P game where banning them is pointless as they could kill everyone in their vicinity with a standard AR on a new character (and they will, if it ever gets made). CCP also has what I would consider a hardly efficient force of in-game GM's that go after botters right now for EVE. You think they would keep up with the much easier to hack genre that is FPS? No. Not a snowballs chance in hell.

Legion was a flawed idea from the start and it needs to die.

Other PC shooters get along fine without problems for hackers, but I'm not sure how CCP deal with that issue and haven't considered it myself TBH.

But why would you not want dust on PS4?

I agree with you that it should get a port to PS4 eventually but as a developer myself it makes far more sense to build for PC now and port it to PS4 once the PC version is up and running. they'll have it developed faster and they can run the beta on PC. No, other PC shooters do not get along fine with hackers. It is a regular sight in PS2, BF and CS:GO. Even at a professional level people are banned from competition regularly for it. It is tolerated because PC gamers have no choice. We, however, do have a choice. To NOT put it on PC in the first place. As I said, I do want Dust on PS4. I don't want Legion on PS4. Dust is not Legion. They are different visions by different teams. Legions vision is a half-baked idea by some marketing guy who is clueless about gaming. Usually banned for being too awesome.

I'm not going to vote, though, because neither appeal to me. I came back after a break from DUST, I'm enjoying it again, but neither am I going to let myself hope it can miraculously become everything I ever wanted it to be, unless CCP are willing to chip away at the game for years. Even then, I must accept the technical limitations of the PS3 as the gaming world moves on to the next generation of hardware. For now, I'm happy just having fun playing a game that isn't completely abandoned, and I ain't going to stop grinding LP for my Shaman BPO just yet. I wish they could continue development for DUST, perhaps take it to the PS4, but if it turns out they do figure out how to work Legion, fine, I'll hop over for a look and if I like it, I'll stay. sorry but i'm not going to pretend the situations isn't what it is. the game allready looks dated and development for it has grinded to a halt, the recent warbarge isn't even a 3D model its a 2D picture. the way I see it legion IS the continued development of dust 514 for one we'll be able to transfer our characters over to it if it were to be released. the games are the same but legion also has planet exploration outside of matches and PVE where you fight drones for salvage on battlegrounds that have allready been fought on, it would also be able to have all the features Dust was suppose to have like fighting inside the wreck of a destroyed titan and ransoming it back to the owner if your corp manages to claim it. they've allready talked about adding features like this to dust and cant due to the limitations of the PS3 I honestly cant see the difference between dust and legion Its ok, I'm a ninja
