CCP, please open up the Apex suits for militia and standard modules, so we can crap-fit them ourselves. Go for the item metas, which way you can exclude potential aurum advanced modules use (starting meta 3) as well as Factional Store items of same quality. Allow meta 0-2 only.
[1]: more FW action, as suits get more sought after [2]: more Aurum module BPO sales [3]: Profit! |

The can do that just by reducing CPU and PG till its very limits. I mean just the necessary for a new player to use, and everything else is our mistake, not supposed veterans.

I think this would lead to stacking a couple of pg/cpu mods and loading out proto weapon + damage mods.
I have not messed with the numbers to see if this would be possible it just crossed my mind as soon as I heard the idea of pg/cpu limitations so i figured I would throw it out there.

Broken record mode initialized.
Assuming it is technically possible, consider making BPOs the only customizable items that can be fitted on an APEX suit. If it's not a BPO, then it can't replace the default weapons and mods on the suit. It would be great for the players and great for revenue. |

It may be a lot more work but I think introducing variations of each item that are free and locked to only fitting on these suits would be the best bet. You could even expand on this and lock certain slots to racial specific items to keep the idea of them intact.
An Imperial ScR blueprint and Imperial AScR blueprint that can only be fitted on any of the imperial blueprints for example would be awesome. This would also take the racial idea to a new level as it would force people to build fittings specific to the race suit they have. |

I think the problem there becomes locking them to the APEX/Faction suit so that everyone is not running around with regular suits fully stacked with BPO gear.

I like this idea, make std aurum or factional bpo's for everything, as long as the factional stuff is still a grind to obtain, I don't think there would be a problem.

Those would be ways to solve it.
1 The way to fix it would be just by making them prohibited, I mean that u can't fit cpu or PG mods.
2 make some new modules that have way lower use of CPU and PG, so the limited CPU would work better. I mean. Instead just using 30 of CPU in X thing make it with an usage of 15 for example. At the end the total cpu would be very low and it wouldn't be good to use CPU, PG mods note: it will have to be done with every apex module, all highs and lows.
If u have any thought about it. Post possible math issues. Or propose ways to fix it.
Edit: as another guy said some posts up. There also would be an option to make just STD modules in bpo. And implement them in Fw for a price of isk LP as apex modules for example...

If adjustability is introduced to the apex it should be limited to same type modules and weapons if you spec in to adv or pro then you could use that gear not be able to replace a shield mod for damage or a shield reg for an armor plate. The fit should always be the fit supplied, but the basic gear could be replaced with upper tier gear as skills progress only. If you want to swap type of gear then you can always buy the quaffe and the neo suits or the drens we already have an assortment of suits available that you could achieve the effect you desire without CCP having to spend days on new code to give you exactly what you're asking for here. |

So, we're officially suggesting that Proto BPOs would be better because the one thing that made them "not OP" according to their original implementation being that they were uncustomizable... would no longer be applicable..?
What's the point of even having Standard BPO's again? Oh right, the whole complex modules deal that they can do with their extremely limited PG/CPU and slot count.
Can we just make the proposal to have full-on BPO's of prototype/complex gear and just get it over with now?
Sniper range nerf did nothing but make it harder to counter-snipe redliners. That and open up for really stupid feedback

If you cal make the APEX BPOs only fittable with meta 1 (STD/MLT) items.
OR...
You can simply exclude PG/CPU modules for APEX suits. Either script them to be unusable in APEX or you can make the APEX statblock modified by skills only.
I know there's a switch to pull that lets you set things like frames so they can't benefit from skill bonuses.

Sure it may be a tad OP but I'm reduced to the Federal Marines (or x faction) and BPO items .
Either that or I want a different color for my Federation Apex suit, worked too hard for the Federation not to be distinguished from the AUR spenders. What about renaming the Apex suits in the Factional Store after the Factions and giving them the Factional color.

What about simply allowing only the assault variety of a weapon to be switched?
For example on the Caldari assault allow us the switch the state rail rifle with the assault rail or the magsec with the bolt pistol
I don't agree in being able to swap gear for other racial variants unless there is no other variant available ie: Hmg
