The ability to pick up, and use as a melee bashing item, any of that refuse should be considered.
What's better, I ask, seeing the EOM screen and seeing that you picked up a broken WC Optronic Sight, or playing the game, stumbling across said Broken Optronic Sight and picking it up to subsequently bludgeon the **** out of the next redmerc you come across?
I mean, we're all here to have some fun, but who's here to have some real fun??!?!

What do you guys think about adding a melee weapon slot to dropsuit fittings? Nova knives can still be used with R1 while new melee weapons can used by pressing down on the right analog stick. |

Well I would if I knew how to use a whip. Think about it, longer range, faster movement, impossible to parry...and the nova aspect overcomes the whips only weakness which is armor penetration.
That said 3+ meters seems a little big...maybe I'm bad at judging distances but 9 feet sounds like a long reach formelee |

So these are my ideas for primary melee weapons
Amar: claymore, slow rate of swing, long range, potential av capability
Gallente: sword and tower shield, can be brought up and used as cover by holding aim button, but cannot be used to attack while blocking, and the shield has a separate health bar that replenishes based on suit regen.
Minmatar: whip, longest range, lightest DMG, maybe 2-3 hits to kill assault, can be used to grab and drag opponents out of cover for allies to finish off(and give you an assist)
Caldari: myrmidons, they use tridents and webs to immobilize enemies temporarily, and can either stab them or allow allies at range to finish off. |
