But seriously, you just freshly came out from Academy with cheap and probably poorly fitted suits. Why do you expect to take out PRO suits 1on1? Especially with a Scout. You are twice as fast as a brick tanked Amarr Assault, ran away from them, put REs at their feet or attack them from behind.

I've been playing for a lot longer than fresh out of academy genius. I've got a proto scout and adv assault. Its just too hard to do well anymore. My scout CK.0 with about 400hp can do crap against an assault rifle.

the new player experience must be pretty awful, throwing yourself time after time against people with 3 times the EHP and 40 percent more damage than yourself must be rather crap. beyond that you need to learn what the game is all about aswell.

i am sure some clever person will come back with tactics ect - but its irrelevant the passive + gear gap is too great for the vast majority of people wanting to try out a new game. and no you did not have it this bad as the gap between the haves and have nots has never been so large.

ill always remember a chat i had after a PC battle where i got killed 5 times and killed the guy once a while back. he told me about play and counter play which i understood, but could not implement due to not have enough SP's so although it would have been great to change out weapons and or suits according to who your fighting it could not realistically be done effectively. it had taken me a year to have the SP's to be good at one thing.

the waiting times have reduced, i believe its got to the point where its viable and necessary to split the pubs into advanced and over and basic and bellow. it will make the game more enjoyable for most besides those who enjoy stomping 1 sided battles.

yes i know squads are the biggest force multiplier - but there is still a large difference if your in a basic or starter fit facing a squad vs a squad of proto.

then dont complain. that is the price of FOTM chasing... other people adapt and wreck you. if you dont have another suit then how about you do what you are supposed to? aka skirmish hit and run instead of trying to be a scout assault

I'm not a scout assault genius, I used to hit and run, but because I don't know where enemies are, I can't go to get someone and it turns out he's surrounded by flipping heavies!

Eve online has high sec for new players to have "relative" safety from the free for all seen in low sec.

We need a high sec low rewards area for our new players and our not so new players that aren't good enough to tackle proto squads.

If you build it, they will come....



Side thought... What if we made one of our modes, thinking domination, high sec?
