all these fancy patchs that make guns fire pretty colors and all the brand new things you can **** away AUR on are ok but mostly fluff. can we actually have a patch that works on the core of dust like aiming mechanics and fixing glitchs and bugs. |

No Hotfix will fix core mechanics in DUST... Maybe give it a band-aid?
They would have to focus core mechanic fixes on a big patch addition... The problem with it is that it is near impossible for a Cheif financial officer to see any possible revenue gains from fixing core mechanics in a game.
Adverse to adding more things to a micro transaction list.. where revenue gains can be tracked.
One thing is for sure... If CCP Did do a massive core game mechanic patch that fixed even 50% of the issues... I Would throw money at them as a sense of reciprocity. |

For love of god please Rattati make this happen..
I'm curious if it's even possible anymore ? Serious question, because it really has been ignored out side of equipment tweaking as far as I've read ?
And if you look the majority of core threads ie graphics, controls, latency or hit detection. They never get a developer response.. Unless it's unrelated or a troll statement... |

It all comes down to what resources are available for this to happen. The core Dust team is like.....3 dudes. They get assists from other people in the company but the core development team is extremely small, so big changes to core systems (which as you can imagine is a shitload of work) is going to take a lot of manpower to pull off, and manpower is not exactly what Rattati has at the moment.
So while yes, there are core issues that should be fixed; they may be out of the scope of what can be done readily.

I can put my tinfoil hat on and speculate a lot of things but until Legion transparency improves, Dust is here to stay with the ****** core and all. Especially with all these revenue generating patches Rattati is spoon feeding the masses. Look at the praise CCP Hilmar gave Rattati after the podcast he was currently on.. He might as well said "look what a good job he's doing sucking money from people for a dying game." |

I'd call equipment bandwidth and scan radius changes to core mechanics.
Changes to aiming mechanics I'd actually advocate against, as often that messes up a lot of people, and can also screw up game balance pretty badly as well.
Glitches and bugs are fixed as found or made technically feasible.

You use the term readily like Dust is a new game and still has a ten year plan ? The past doesn't speak highly of the future, unless the cash grabs are actually in place to provide a better future? Unfortunately with out transparency and communication the majority of vets have not or will not continue to support Dust...

.....BPO's return to the market....... DUST Players buy BPO's............CCP starts introducing content patches again.....
Don't tell me these events are unrelated.
DUST time is split into the Rattati era and the Pre-Rattati era. Best not to make predictions about the future of DUST based on events in the Pre-Rattati era.

Right, totally no transparency or communication at all. This is shown by the roadmap released for Dust (which has never been done in the company before), a rather aggressive push to collect community feedback via the forums and new Trello board, and the fact that we had CCP Rattati come onto our Biomassed Podcast this past Sunday to talk about patch 1.10, the reasoning behind the changes, as well as discuss the future of Dust. Totally no transparency or communication at all.

Orrr we could make predictions off of the ps3-era which it has already been confirmed that Dust "is not on the road map to be ported to ps4 or PC for that matter" and not to mention the company in whole seen Dust as dead in the water close to a year ago. The future is either a last ditch effort to gain revenue that CCP has lost, or build a base for Legion( or Dust port) if it's the latter CCP should give us a reason to throw cash at temporary aesthetics... |

No offense but it's pretty sad if you see that as transparency for the "future" step out of your fanboyism and take a good look at the actual statistics that will influence Dusts life expectancy out side of a few post-it notes copied over to trello... |

The bitter is strong in you...
But that's fine, I think I was called "CCP's most Optimistic Victim" when I told me to think positive about the future and they insisted that we would get nothing more out of Dust. And then 24 hours later 1.10, 2.0, and 2.1 was announce, so yeah...
It just goes to show that some people will never be satisfied no matter what happens. Even if they get what they want they'll come up with something else to complain about. That's whats really sad.

The way you're characterizing this patch is dishonest, and ignores the good it does. Changes EWAR for the better, gives us the missing fitting screen stats people have asked for since beta, new strikes improve gameplay, and fixes equipment spam.

The fact that you're summarizing an entire community as "they" goes to show that your opinion is incredibly biased. If those months of post-it notes are enough for you, I'm happy for you.. Although I think the numbers speak for themselves and will continue to speak more volume then the supposed open door trello board.. I'm not denying it's a step in the right direction but like I said in another thread it seems to be Rattati's way of spoon feeding the community before the life line is pulled.. With lil transparency I think the majority of vets who aren't blinded by the light of Rattati can see through the BS that it is.. |

yes please
the flaws in this game are embarrassing enough as a player. I cant imagine how embarrassed i would be as a representative of the company. I don't refer this game to friends anymore because of the bad feedback they have given me. which is a shame because everyone loves the concept they just hate the execution.
This was my brothers first match of dust experience:
1 Spawn into first match, suicide out of MCC Respawn to get stuck on basic terrain 2 Call in first Lav and RDV kamikazes 3 Call in second Lav, get stuck on terrain/ crash into invisible walls and bumps 4 Crash into light pole and explode 5 Carried to victory by team 6 Get ringing end of match sound glitch... 7 Quickly get frustrated trying to figure out dropsuit fitting while the sound glitch continues to ring out like a psych ward alarm. 8 Conclude this unfinished free to play game is a hack 9 turn off Dust and play a finished game.
I am thankful for the effort the Devs and CPM have made apparent recently. Some major bugs have been fixed but many of the ugliest still exist. |

Glitches and bugs are fixed as found or made technically feasible. how would fixing aiming to where its not as clunky mess people up all other FPS games the aiming moves very smoothy like you actually have precise control in putting your sight on target. the core of any fps is how smooth the aiming is and how the weapons feel when you fire. its like putting fluffy dice and a air freshenr in a car that has a broken engine every patch.

When I say "they" I mean people who are so embittered that they can't seem to find any hope for the future of the game. I don't think that's everyone in the community. Hell I don't even think it's a majority.
