For love of god please Rattati make this happen..
I'm curious if it's even possible anymore ? Serious question, because it really has been ignored out side of equipment tweaking as far as I've read ?
And if you look the majority of core threads ie graphics, controls, latency or hit detection. They never get a developer response.. Unless it's unrelated or a troll statement... |

I can put my tinfoil hat on and speculate a lot of things but until Legion transparency improves, Dust is here to stay with the ****** core and all. Especially with all these revenue generating patches Rattati is spoon feeding the masses. Look at the praise CCP Hilmar gave Rattati after the podcast he was currently on.. He might as well said "look what a good job he's doing sucking money from people for a dying game." |

Pokey Dravon wrote:It all comes down to what resources are available for this to happen. The core Dust team is like.....3 dudes. They get assists from other people in the company but the core development team is extremely small, so big changes to core systems (which as you can imagine is a shitload of work) is going to take a lot of manpower to pull off, and manpower is not exactly what Rattati has at the moment.
So while yes, there are core issues that should be fixed; they may be out of the scope of what can be done readily.
You use the term readily like Dust is a new game and still has a ten year plan ? The past doesn't speak highly of the future, unless the cash grabs are actually in place to provide a better future? Unfortunately with out transparency and communication the majority of vets have not or will not continue to support Dust...

Changes to aiming mechanics I'd actually advocate against, as often that messes up a lot of people, and can also screw up game balance pretty badly as well.
Glitches and bugs are fixed as found or made technically feasible.
You're confused and I'm disappointed. |

Recent past:

Don't tell me these events are unrelated.
DUST time is split into the Rattati era and the Pre-Rattati era. Best not to make predictions about the future of DUST based on events in the Pre-Rattati era.
Orrr we could make predictions off of the ps3-era which it has already been confirmed that Dust "is not on the road map to be ported to ps4 or PC for that matter" and not to mention the company in whole seen Dust as dead in the water close to a year ago. The future is either a last ditch effort to gain revenue that CCP has lost, or build a base for Legion( or Dust port) if it's the latter CCP should give us a reason to throw cash at temporary aesthetics... |

Pokey Dravon wrote:Right, totally no transparency or communication at all. This is shown by the roadmap released for Dust (which has never been done in the company before), a rather aggressive push to collect community feedback via the forums and new Trello board, and the fact that we had CCP Rattati come onto our Biomassed Podcast this past Sunday to talk about patch 1.10, the reasoning behind the changes, as well as discuss the future of Dust. Totally no transparency or communication at all.
No offense but it's pretty sad if you see that as transparency for the "future" step out of your fanboyism and take a good look at the actual statistics that will influence Dusts life expectancy out side of a few post-it notes copied over to trello... |

The fact that you're summarizing an entire community as "they" goes to show that your opinion is incredibly biased. If those months of post-it notes are enough for you, I'm happy for you.. Although I think the numbers speak for themselves and will continue to speak more volume then the supposed open door trello board.. I'm not denying it's a step in the right direction but like I said in another thread it seems to be Rattati's way of spoon feeding the community before the life line is pulled.. With lil transparency I think the majority of vets who aren't blinded by the light of Rattati can see through the BS that it is.. |

When I say "they" I mean people who are so embittered that they can't seem to find any hope for the future of the game. I don't think that's everyone in the community. Hell I don't even think it's a majority.
I never generalized, assumed or even used the word bitter the facts you keep blindly missing are the actual numbers regardless of your optimistic patches and road map that you seem to put on a pedestal like it's the saving grace of Dust.. Numbers continue to decline they have since Fanfest where there has been no transparency for Legion or Dust and very little core issues resolved. If the "majority" felt as you do that yearly graph would be slowly climbing not slowly falling.. I wish you and your self claimed majority the best of luck with the continued months of hot fixes, strong boxes and rave like colored tracers, those will save the game for sure!!! Just keep buying Aurum! |

KAGEHOSHI Horned Wolf wrote:I've been seeing these vague "fix the core!" threads since closed beta, and the core has been improved a lot. If you want to help, elaborate on specific issues, instead of just saying "core".
The way you're characterizing this patch is dishonest, and ignores the good it does. Changes EWAR for the better, gives us the missing fitting screen stats people have asked for since beta, new strikes improve gameplay, and fixes equipment spam.
when I think of core issues I think of core programing issues not balancing or meta addition..
Controls being sloppy and unresponsive (worse controls of any console shooter)
Performance/frames dropping to completely **** in the middle of a complex
Hit detection/latency mainly speaking about unloading a clip in someone and shields not dropping or get them half way into armor and they stop taking damage
Getting stuck on terrain/invisible terrain (some of this has been fixed at the beginning of uprising but obvious areas are still there )
Those are the main ones I can think of while driving but are major ones, as I'm playing I'll add more for ya..
edit: The thing is these have been posted about for years some less then others and Devs seem to turn a blind eye to it.. basically the game continues to run like **** it's even more noticeable if you spend some time away from it and come back... |

Out of curiosity. Why are you still here if you have no hope for the game?
Oh I still have hope..
I'm just not on that welfare hope, it's kind of like that saying "wish in one hand, **** in the other see which one fills up first" well it's especially true when you've invested a lot of time and money in something I'm not going to hold hope in one hand and continue to let CCP **** in my other. .
