I disagree that Gal scouts are easymode scrubs. I agree tanked ones are. eWar lets you see a ton and hide, but it does not guarantee free kills (even on MLT, if you done ****ed up). Especially against tight squads.

Sadly, SG is the best complement, as racial weapons should be. It makes the Calscout's Sniper rifle cry and is on par with the Amarr scout's scrambler rifle and the Min's Nova Knife.

I suggest a mix of damps and ferroscales and sometimes a kincat.
Damps - Amarr scouts and Gallogis
Kincats and Ferroscales - Sentinels

As an alternative to PE's, you could equip a high-tier scanner to pick up the scouts that you would've picked up on passives anyways with PE's. It also tells you if there are damped scouts about, unlike passives. Replace PE's with shields to buffer against HMG's and other armor-based weapons.

I skilled into the lol scrub EZ mode Gal Scout, after being wrecked by them over and over and over in my Min Scout. I know, I hate myself for it. But hey, if you can't beat them, join them, right? I really want to be competitive in PC, and I've been told repeatedly that whatever a Min Scout can do, a Gal Scout can do 10x better, bar knifing. Anyway, I was hoping to get some fitting advice. Bear in mind though that I only have Gal Scout and Damps to level 3. Here's my ADV fit: ADV CR ADV Knives STD Cloak STD RE 2x STD Armour Plates 1x Enhanced Damp 2x STD Shield Extenders STD Locus That's all I can fit atm, because of the Cloak fitting costs. I also have another fit with 2 Damps, and another with 3, but I don't know what my Profile is, and whether there's any point using the 2nd Damp at this point. But besides that, how do you think my fit is? Is it any good? What would you change? I've been using the STD cloak on the APEX Serpent fit lately, but find it doesn't really last long enough for my needs. Equipment is usually ADV UL's or ADV RE's depending on the situation. High slots can be whatever I can fit between damage mods and/or precision enhancers. Often times, I have to leave them empty. Nowadays I'm using the Br AR because isn't everybody? My sidearm is usually my trusty BPO Toxin SMG. I am not a "slayer" scout; I tend to run in the background and only go for targets of opportunity. Mostly.

Currently my most used fit is a ADV min assault, 3x blue drugs, 2x kincat, 1x damp. I run faster than my gal scout and hit harder, i don't understand why people believe that shotgun is so EZ mode. Knives shot heavies, i've never shotted a heavy with a shotgun. The problem are scout with tiny hitbox, 500HP, running fast with a shotgun, not scout with base HP and shotgun. Once you get Level 3 in Gal Scout, you can beat all passive scans with 2 Complex Damps. You still haven't learned your lesson about damps. You NEED dampening to level 5 regardless of scout type. Welcome to the dark side, Dreis my boy. I knew you were smart. I run a SG and SMG on my Gal and she is fun and effective. I skilled into SG's specifically to counter Heavy suits and never regretted it. As far as your fit, I agree you should max out your Ewar (at least dampening) before anything else. If you like knives and are used to them, then stick with them. (But you will come around on the SG idea I bet) Lastly, don't know how you played your Min scout but don't fall into the habit of getting into straight up gun fights with that CR. Gal scout is awesome if you run it with AR as the only Gal assualt that should have ever existed. You can rise above scrub. I'm better than laser focused; I'm hybrid focused.

Instead of shield extenders i'd put two precision enhancers if so. I'd replace the cloak with uplinks, because as I am an uplink scout, I can tell you tell you that you can use your stealth to ninja in uplinks at good places and get a nice wp bonus for it. I'd also use more pistol sidearms instead. The unnecessary hotfix Delta sidearm change did the same thing other changes broke guns: made them too strong instead of making them more efficient. I use bolt pistol/flay lock and an ion pistol. The ion pistol can obliterate shield tankers, and bolt pistol/ flay lock are for having fun. I hope things go well for you, dreis. Soon scouts may be seeing the nerfs they deserve, so if it's possible you should get a prototype logi suit, or any logi suit that has a ton of low slots at advanced, because those logis can mimick scouts terms of stealth to a pretty good degree. Months of AV and scout abuse, still nothing being done about it.
