I fail to realize why the rifle has been given the 14% damage boost in the first place, as well. |

Then again I don't shield tank. Yes, and no. While the Breach AR may only have an 18 round clip, the SCR (without AmAssault) overheats at about 18 rounds, and the seize time is similar to the reload time. Then there's the Combat Rifle, which (without the MinAssault) only fires 18 bursts.

If I am correct the adv breach ar does 61.029 points of damage and plasma weapon profiling is 10% to shields -10% to armour
With the damage profile, it will do 67.1319 points of damage
We will use an assault suit as a base.
It may take 4-5 shots or so to destroy someone's shielding completely for an average assault suit, and I think this will be possible within 1.8 or 2 seconds.
With damage to shield profile, it will do 54.9261 damage to armour. 6 or so shots to destroy armour on an average armour tanking assault.
If this was an amarr assault, it would possibly take 6-8 shots to kill a tanked one out, which I estimate can be done in around 4 seconds at max, 2.8 at minimum.
If this was a tanked caldari assault, it would possibly take 4 or5 shots, which I estimate can be done in around 3.3 seconds max, 2.8 minimum
If this was a tanked gallente assault, it would possibly take 5 or 6 shots, which I estimate can be done around 3.5 seconds max 2.9 minimum.
If this was a tanked minmatar assault, it would possibly take 3 or 4 shots, which I estimate can be done in 3 seconds max, 2.7 minimum.
It usually takes around 3 or 4 seconds for a player to turn around, and by the time they see you when you shoot them they most likely would be dead. If the player has their sensitivity on high, possibly 2.8, yet still they will most likely be dead at this time and may miss easily.
The worst part of this is that ewar heavily puts in stealth factors instead of more reliable factors such as line of sight/opportunity, so this gun will most likely be used in surprise.
When it comes to logistics suits and scouts(who cares about scouts anyways) the time to kill is significantly lower, and the surprise attack will be an easy kill.
Heavy suits of course will have resistence against the weapon, but the distance factor of the gun will override the need for worry, especially since the heavy may not have the ability to run away.
Besides this, many of the assault rifles have inconsistent stats in terms of range. Why should the guns have around a range of 70 though 78 metres? Aren't they supposed to be CQC orientated weapons? Besides that how the hell would plasma, an electrically charged gas, could stay as a projectile in an atmosphere for such a long range?
If anything, the creation of very high damage, far reaching, easy to use/no handicap weaponry really, really needs to stop. Basically enough dicking around, lower the gun's(alongside the rest) damage by a bit, and make them more efficient by changing their ammunition stats, rate of fire, etc.

*runs in front of a breach AR for one millisecond, loses all 480 shields* I-Śm guessing they were seconds (miliseconds is CR-ACR department, way).
Oh, working as intended by the way, i-Śm sure you shield tanked and you were between 0-40 meter range.

when I saw milliseconds I mean milliseconds. BTW, Combat Rifle? Are you Serious? Get out of here. Come back when you actually start playing Dust. Taking down shield with a CR is like trying to cut a tree with a butter knife.

Lol, you-Śre funny. The same "miliseconds" that took the Breach AR to keel your shields, are the same "miliseconds" that took the ACR to keel mine, amazing huh?!
You-Śre right, i started playing Dust like 2 days ago and have 30+million SP, i guess i-Śm still a noob, but the funny thing is that the Breach AR is SUPPOSED to keel your shields cause it has a high alpha damage to shields and yes (lol) you ran in front of it, so yeah, working as intended.
ACR deals armor damage, which in my case is even more strange, lol.

If by balanced you mean underpowerd, then yes. I'm sorry, but that's just bullspit. The ACR and CR melt through Armour and don't have any problem hitting me or anyone else I see. If the only reason you say these weapons are UP or even balanced is because of lag, then what happens when the servers aren't laggy? Edit:And how much shield can anybody get? 500? (excluding the Caldari sentinel)
Every now and then you'll see a weirdo with 700 shield on an Assault ck0.
If you're not wearing proto, you're doing it wrong.
