It gives squads a chance to see who their facing, come up with a plan, and make any final adjustments to your fittings that you may have forgotten to make/do. I know that at least when I started playing, one of the reasons that made me stay was the warbarge since It actually made me feel like I was part of something massive, bigger then just you're "run-of-the-mill" lobby shooter. Warbarges added an Sandbox element that few other games have, and that's what made it so unique and cool
Also, It really doesn't make sense why you would TAKE AWAY something that adds to the whole immersion of actually getting deployed and dropping for this massive ship from orbit. It gives you more of a perspective at just how crazy and cool it is, plus, I miss trapping people in corners and showing off my awesome dropsuits :(

People complained that it took too long to load into match
I'm in favor of a waiting time of up to a minute. Probably something like 30-60 seconds

Yea, I was there when they nerfed the waiting time. Honestly, 60s really isn't that long if you get the benefit to see who you're facing and are able to make/change you're fittings.

I say make it 2 minutes. That way, you not only have time to see you're up against and change fittings accordingly, but also have the chance to form up squads, and finally have more time to show off your blingy suit.

+1 I never experienced the warbarge in pubs, but it sounds like a good idea to me! atm it's just a race to see if you can get down the slope before the battle starts...

The warbarge was the same every time we got into it. Don't bring it back CCP unless you bring the map we are about to fight on and fix that damn tram!! Have the AI announce some other things, put up some ads for the NPC corps. But that's if we even get time to look at all those things. Ah there are plenty of other things people want that also that I don't need to explain.
Should Legion be on the ps4?

I'd say 60s for pub matches, 120s for FW.
Point being that if you aren't in a squad before you go into pubs, then no amount of time will allow you to set up a "meaningful" squad. Sure, you can hop in someone's squad. But you're not going to be calling out FCs or determining squad comp.
In FacWarfare? Maybe. I could live with a 2 minute timer for FW. I'd probably help with matchmaking time a bit as well

I agree, now we wait in a loading screen, very briefly i admit but if i have to wait a minute let me have my little warbarge stroll/merc-hump/polonaise back.
Also, now it get the occasional warbarge flash when i load up a pub match? why load that when its not used.
When it is going to be back, i humbly ask for jara to do a little dance on the table, you have the technology. Or a map of the sockets/outpost we are playing, even better.

I'd vote against the "pseudo-stripper" idea out of respect for any women who play DUST. A 3D model of the map of the socket/outpost that we would play on is better

Got to admit even expecting Jara to turn out the way she did....still really surprised me.
At this point I really wish I could turn the hologram off. What kind of Templar actually keeps and impossibly busty woman in his quarters?

What is stopping you from doing all of the above?
We've wanted things like this for a long time. That table is perfect for a mini-map of the area, and would be perfect for immersion with prox chat.
Imagine walking up to the table and hearing some of the better squads explaining how to do this map to the newbies. Actual team composition since we know what each squads jobs are.
Maybe more people would start joining squads and playing like a team.

Darn I was having fun being one of the few running around in the barge during pubs.
Seriously tho set it to like 40 - 45 seconds. Enough time for randoms to hop in squads and for squads to see if they have other squads with them. |

Didn't mean to, just sharing that we the devs also have regrets over missing or potentially awesome features.
If we keep doing the things we are doing, with tactical changes and then letting go of them to fix something else, gradually polishing the experience. That said, I would prioritize the map below a lot of things, and above a few things, to be honest.

As a work around for the bold statement, could we have a "Press O to interact" with the table to pull up the photo used in the "Map Feedback" section of the forums that corresponds to the map that we would be playing on?
I think that even seeing a photo titled: "Fracture road" with the friendly and Enemy starting locations noted would be very helpful.

That seems like a good work around. At least for the short term. Especially since the 2D maps in the feedback sections have a grid etched into them for reference.

Despite our occassional disagreements, Ive always had a lot of respect for you and know in the back of my mind that even though it might not be quite so obvious at first, you're doing everything you can. That being said, we'd all feel a lot better if we just knew that there was a long-term plan for either Dust or Legion.
A longer roadmap would be astounding and I greatly appreciate that youre trying to get us there.
