So 100usd equals ~6m wp? Im just barely rank 8 as well and have about 6m less wp but have spent a little over 100usd more... I only play dust514ums now. It was always more fun than the actual game anyways.

Welp I can tell you I just bought 100 USD for the 225k aur and spent about 125k of it. I was already about 4/10 through rank 10 and I went from about 257k to 211k points needed. Nobody seems to be able to place what the main contributing factor to loyalty rank is, and it might be because it is mostly dependent on the one factor that we are least likely to know and can't check directly. For reference, my ranking and relevant stats: Rank 8 (~50K to 9) 48M SP / 4.1M WP / 2.03 WL (Since whenever they started counting) / ~$200 AUR

There's something else here than AUR, if you had spent the same amount as me on AUR, you likely wouldn't be too far ahead of me in terms of points (considering the 1:2 ratio). Yet, you have 9M more WP and 90K more kills (although, I don't think kills contribute to loyalty rank).

I then spent 20$ USD on AUR and bought the Market Agent Jara Kumora and a G/1 'Quafe' Sentinel, I'm now a Loyalty Rank 7: Lieutenant. DUST 514 Is the first FPS I played actively for the PS3 and is my favorite FPS to this very day. :)

Actually if you read the known issues thread, these are not intended and CCP is investigating. If you are as new as you say, you are way to early in the game to be so cynical... O_O This leads me to believe that Aurum purchases have a large impact on this ranking system. I have not personally spent a cent on this game. That does not mean I am unsupportive of this games growth, it just means that I'm a cheap SOB. Indirectly I have made CCP money if recruits were taken into account. I have encouraged many people to try Dust and some of them (my roomate to name one) have purchased AUR. I even made a post on the PS3 forums telling people to give Dust a shot. I may come across as bitter but I'm really not. Consider this a post that will lead to determining CCP's formula.
