This leads me to believe that Aurum purchases have a large impact on this ranking system. I have not personally spent a cent on this game. That does not mean I am unsupportive of this games growth, it just means that I'm a cheap SOB. Indirectly I have made CCP money if recruits were taken into account. I have encouraged many people to try Dust and some of them (my roomate to name one) have purchased AUR. I even made a post on the PS3 forums telling people to give Dust a shot. I may come across as bitter but I'm really not. Consider this a post that will lead to determining CCP's formula.

Nobody seems to be able to place what the main contributing factor to loyalty rank is, and it might be because it is mostly dependent on the one factor that we are least likely to know and can't check directly. For reference, my ranking and relevant stats: Rank 8 (~50K to 9) 48M SP / 4.1M WP / 2.03 WL (Since whenever they started counting) / ~$200 AUR

There's something else here than AUR, if you had spent the same amount as me on AUR, you likely wouldn't be too far ahead of me in terms of points (considering the 1:2 ratio). Yet, you have 9M more WP and 90K more kills (although, I don't think kills contribute to loyalty rank).

The thing is, AUR is the one thing that we know exactly how much impact it has (1 point for each 2 AUR spent), and it doesn't add up to the apparent gap. As is evident between my rank of 8, compared to your 6, a difference of 200K points does isn't enough to fully account for that difference. The only other differences I see are wins and consecutive logins. It just so happens that I've never had any more than about 50-60 consecutive days logging in, so that's out. As for wins, my W/L is a bit higher, but I don't think my total number of battles is higher considering your WP and kill counts. Ultimately, there has to be something else here. On a related note, what's up with all the people posting ranks of 11+ and not giving any other info? Those would be the most useful ones to have.
