IMO, RRs were FoTM because they were the most powerful weapon when the last respec happened (i.e. when the AR was king). Since then, they have been lackluster in CQC the entire time when compared to all other weapons save the LR, and while they lead in pubs in terms of usage they've been 3rd or 4th among light weapons in PC the entire time. |

Burst Fire folks. Burst Fire. That makes the spool up time mean something I know -- but the recoil is still manageable from my squaddie's comments. And isn't ADS still the same as it was before so long range is stll good yeah? |

Long range performance of the RR and ARR was not changed, but the ARR got slightly increased damage and clip size.
The concerns are almost all with hipfire kick, and from my testing this evening the ARR seems even more uncontrollable than the RR due to the random and side to side nature of the kick. |

All of you who said the hipfire kick nerfed it out of CQC....you are dumb.
That's supposed to be the intended drawback of the weapon.
And now...thanks your crying and others just like you...the RR is in a worse spot.

^I like how every other race gets a gun that can shoot straight for as long as they want it to except the caldari zatara, but the caldari apparently aren't 'supposed' to be playing objectives, no they're supposed to stand on rooftops or hills 400 meters back because they cannot reliably hit a scout that runs straight at them.
Having low DPS in CQC is fine, having a gun that cannot hit things is not. The rail rifle in its current incarnation feels bad. It feels VERY bad.
Maybe the amarr weapons shouldn't be able to hit things in CQC either because hey 'they're not supposed to be short range!!!!"

Man, I like you better already because you didn't go off on me for joking with you.
I gtg atm but i'l respond later if someone else hasn't.
But yeah...I'd MUCH prefer the RR to have 'manageable' kick but if it's a .6 charge up or crazy unwieldy hipfire kick...i choose hipfire kick.
Don't **** the weapon over into nothing ness as opposed to nerfing cqc effectiveness to where you need a sidearm or Odin's blessing to counter someone in CQC.

Blame Rattati, I certainly didn't ask for charge time to double and more than I asked for the hipfire kick to quadruple. I simply didn't think the 4x nerf was warranted and expressed that opinion.
I think your scalpel versus butcher knife comment applies here. The ARR is in a pretty good place, and the RR needs some more work.
