Now, what would you classify as corporation hopping?
I've been in the following corporations:
Knights of Ender Umbrella Logistics D.A.R.K L.E.G.I.O.N 0uter.Heaven Ancient Exiles.
_______________________________________________________________________________
THE FOLLOWING CORPORATIONS ARE BASICALLY ONE: *Rolls eyes*
Ancient Ecchi Heaven's Lost Property No Game No Life EnvyUs. Fooly Cooly. Tokyo Ravens
_______________________________________________________________________________
Inner.Hell Pure Evil.
I became friends with CEO of Knights of Ender, MRBH1997, and at the beginning of my DUST career I joined his corporation. I was confused on what I wanted to do in the game so I played some matches with some friends in Umbrella Logistics and decided that I should leave KOE to grow as a player.
When I first started playing the game I would always go into matches and get stomped by D.A.R.K L.E.G.I.O.N, so I worked off of the assumption that DL was one of the better corporations in the game, if not the best, and made an outlined goal to get in.
I left Umbrella Logistics after my best friend in the corporation turned on me and a day later got into DL by sitting in my friend's tank and killing them all in some back-to-back matches against them. One secret many don't know about me is that I'm a very good gunner apparently.
I became best friends with the director, and Ares (CEO of D.A.R.K L.E.G.I.O.N) best friend, Cenex Langly. :)
I was in DL for about a month or two and then became aggravated at the in-house drama and lack of squadding, so I told Cenex that I was going to take my leave and he left as well for the same reasons. He went to 0uter.Heaven and I wanted to be in the same corporation as him. Plus, I loved the tags and some of my other friends were in 0.H as well.
I was a Logi back then with no proto suit, SP placed randomly everywhere (Probably the worst allocation of a player in the game... LOL) and hence I died a lot. The only reason I got into 0uter.Heaven is because I was in a pub match against Tibs and Reiselia, was the only one on the team to not go negative, and hunted him downed and murdered him after he killed me. He told me to send my app in. I did.
Let me be clear: I LOVED 0UTER.HEAVEN. :)
Everyone was great, Tibs was going to help get me situated with a more suitable role (slaying) and I was overall very pleased.
Then Radar came back. I didn't know him and when I joined he had left the game seeing as PS4 just released.
The attitude change was very unfavorable. I didn't want to be carried, and it seemed as though they had no room for me to really get involved and start carrying.
The core group was set and that was that. After the fallout of the war with AE, which I refused to vote in on the grounds of Switzerland, a lot of people started leaving and I was bound and determined to stick with them because I don't just up and leave for no reason or get going when the going gets tough. I ended up leaving because I felt 1. unwelcome and 2. that if I really wanted to carry I wasn't going to be able to learn there. I heard I was being called a scrub behind my back and understood that if I wanted to be in 0uter.Heaven in the future and get anything done I needed to be a confident player in myself and in the game. Kaughst leaving, one of the most awesome people I have met in the game, was the nail on that coffin.
I left and joined AE after becoming friends with DJINN Rampage. <3
I started talking to him on the forums and then started talking in-game. He sat with me in the redline and taught me how to strafe.
Ancient Exiles is, hands down, the best corporation in the game and the only one I regret leaving save for my own.
I ended up leaving because of a misunderstanding and some random in Corp starting drama and sending me messages. ETC
I left AE and joined Ancient Ecchi, Heimdallr69's corp. He and I both got the same treatment from some people in AE and bonded over that. Was funny too, because I never thought I would talk with or be in the same room as Heim. xD I had lots of animosity towards him and he didn't like me either.
We became great friends and through him I joined the channel Anime Empire and met SoTa PoP. I really loved the concept of Anime Empire and started getting really excited about it. SoTa talks a very big game. They didn't have name for the corporation and I was talking with Heim about what some of his favorite anime's were. He told me about Heaven's Lost Property and it just clicked. HEAVEN'S LOST PROPERTY....
I personally felt, with what happened with 0uter.Heaven and AE, that it was a perfect tag. I created the corporation and came to the understanding that I no longer cared about Anime Empire as a whole. If it came to it, I would sit in HvLP by myself because it was MINE.
I even said this essentially and thought that it was clear.
I decided to allow it to be the Anime corp, because I thought SoTa and I were two like minded individuals who could work/come together to achieve something amazing.
Why not make what is already a great thing even greater? I though, "There's really no down-side to this."

I sat in the corporation with Heimdall for a month or more, recruited all of our star players, and 2 days after SoTa finally joined and brought everyone else with him I lost my internet. IDK how, but when I was gone Kain Spero took the shares of MY corporation and CEO was passed between SoTa to Anon and then to Blaze. Fanfest happened and everyone lost their cool and went AWOL, leaving friends and corpmates with nothing. Promises were constantly being made and never kept.
GREAT IDEAS, AMAZING CONCEPT, in the end nothing. ROR
I came back and made a series of bad decisions trying to clean up everyone else's mess.
The truth is that I began to see my corporation HvLP in a different light. TAINTED and ****** with. Heim left while my internet went out as well. Everything went to Hell.
I created No Game No Life, because I was told that we couldn't have an Anime corporation without an Anime name. (Like they even had a name before I came along.) I had friends that I cared about and so I went along with it for them, but in the back of my head I still had my own ideas and goals in mind and started talking with Rampage again. Through everything we were still losing members for every member I recruited and I was taking on more than I initially signed up for considering. The idea of merging was brought up and it was a good move.
Because working with Rampage would have proved more successful than working with someone who talks more than they do.
Bottom-line everyone threw a tantrum and it was dismissed. I went back to NGNL. Then left NGNL to sit in another untainted corporation by myself and everyone followed me. Then SoTa told me I was a traitor and I became tired so I decided to sacrifice self because I didn't care anymore I just didn't want to be yelled at and I wasn't confident enough to not care about what someone else GÇ£thinksGÇ¥.
I went to Fooly Cooly as a show of compliance and to prove that I was not a traitor.
Hated the EFFING name. I went to Tokyo Ravens with my friend BLAZ3 X after the alliance was formed and GÇ£the tags didn't matter as long as you were in the allianceGÇ¥.
Things were supposed to happen and they didn't, BLAZ3 quit DUST and I left to help one of my better friends Blitz with Inner.Hell. Regardless of the hate, animosity, etc, I was willing to work past it all.
Then Blitz was gone and I felt like the job I came there for was done and there was no need for me there. I left and joined Pure Evil for Rampage.
Rampage is off doing his own thing and now I'm with Kalante in xXNatural-DisasterXx

So, corp hopping?
Corporation hopping implies that I am disloyal and a flight risk.
Well, I AM a flight risk. I have very clear requirements and standards; if they aren't met, then I flyyyyy. If I join a corporation for someone specifically and they aren't there, what is the reason to stay?
I'm loyal to people who are loyal to me. If you make promises that you fail to keep, then you can respectively go f_ck yourself. My word is just as good as yours. You make a promise to me and I promise you whatever it was I promised in exchange for you keeping your initial word. You don't keep it, there's no word of mine to keep.
Corporation hoppers? Corporation leadership needs to actually lead and then maybe people wouldn't jump. Trix are for kids? This bunny is bouncing.

Oh yeah I was in Hostile acquisition inc. for about 2 weeks because there corp had 50 members and I thought it was a lot. Then I join Dark Legion because it had 200 members so I was like damn this corp must be good. Then I liked it there a DL, I wad there for about. 2 1/2 months. I liked squading with Mike (sad he quit :,( ), then TP came around and starting bullying everyone and I heard AE was winning a few of their fights against TP so I joined then. Then I stayed at AE for around 4 months, and I felt like making my own corp. that's when I made G0DS AM0NG MEN i was there for 6 months then took about a. 3 to 4 week break from Dust, and when I came back the corp fell apart. So after I came back I wasn't expecting to play much so I joined AE again, but I started playing more and more so I decided to join more active corp so I rejoined DL for about 10 days. Then some of my directors and I decided to all join one corp. we decided on joining FA because they were active in PC, but didn't have many districts and thought we could help there the most. Then Rampage started playing again so I told all of the guys who went to FA if they wanted to go to Pure Evil.
I know y'all really don't care I just posted this because I was bored

So I started out in Couch Potato Gamers (LOL I knorite!!) which was my BF3 clan.. but nobody decided to come over at launch and actually play dust because, well, it sucks. The one guy who did play, xxMemphis my soulmate logibro for life, knew somoene from KEQ so we went there... 2 months later I no longer wished to be told what to do by high pitched voiced brats so I went with this guy named harbinger who was starting his own jumpoff.... promises of grandure and all that jazz, but yeah nobody else joined except a few dolts. Fast forward a month of zero corp growth I joined Molon Labe. been here ever since love my labe. labe. labe. nom nom nom.

Meh, some people have to jump around until they find a home they fit into. I personally adapt myself to fit my corporations environment; hence being in TSOLE since closed beta. Unless the corporation is seriously flawed, I never really find a reason to leave. If I want to squad up with people outside of the corp I just join random games and find an open squad.

By far the best decision i ever made was to never corp hop. There were many times that i wanted to because of disputes with leadership or just wanting to take the easy path of joining a more successful corp but thats just not part of my DNA to abandon people. All those corps i thought about joining are dead now because they had no foundation of real people and friendship. It feels good to grow strong and put in work with people that have your back. At the end of the day i will step in the fire with any member of KEQ and go down swinging win or lose. This is why KEQ has been around for 12 years cause there is a foundation of family. Im mean how many corps have a real life family camping trip.

Light reading my quite possibly infected *******.
Yeah, but anyway, here's my sad story of how I ended up in FA.
I started off in a BF3 clan called Bloodwolves Battalion, one my brother got me into. I don't normally like to brag, but I'd like to believe we could've had a shot at being a competitive clan on Dust, but only me, Teruki Kai, Thanatos and the clan leader ever held any interest in Dust, at least our BF3 wing didn't like it. We built up our echelon with people, and when PC dropped, we sat back and watched to see how you operate in it.
We even saved up a good 80 mil in the corp wallet for then we'd go into PC and try to play competitively, but there was random baby mama drama over how Bloodhound (clan leader) had stole 7 million from the corp wallet, and all but maybe a good 10 active members left, which I'm proud to say, those who stayed were some of our best. The worst part was that Bloodhound didn't even take the money, I asked him after he shut down the Dust wing, "did you take the money". He said no, and to be honest, I believe him, he had no more reason to lie to me.
I'm actually very proud to have worn my BWB tags, blood was the type of leader who believed you could make a scrub into a skilled player if you work with him/her, and he actually put the effort into it, instead of just saying. One drawback, he was a diehard tanker, and could only teach that. If Blood wanted to re-expand into Dust again (I doubt he would TBH), I'd gladly follow him and help out.
Anyway, after he shut down the clan, I went solo for about a week or so, then after trying to join an EON corp, getting denied, I threw my app in with PX1. I left after it became a ghost after the OH/AE war (I think Gods architect called it the war of the north?), and I couldn't get a squad for a week.
After that, our fair princess picked me up and brought me in FA, where I kind of left and hopped over the rebuilding of Arrogance, went back to FA after Skelly said his pants were sad I was gone. The princess once even offered me director roles back in the days I first joined, I declined, as anyone in General Tsos would testify that I shouldn't be given director roles, ever.
After that, I kind of raged on the princess and left for PE., to which I think I owe Rampy and apology. Went back the next day to FA.

Lol, I believe it EVE guys get really pissed over stupid alliance mails. There will be public shaming in my alliance chat if people send so much as a youtube video link over alliance mail.
I have not joined another corp in Dust for the fear of getting sucked into a leadership role, just sticking to my EVE corp where i have known the poeple for like 4-5 years now.

Why do Eve players tend to flip out when stupid alliance mail is sent? I understand if someone keeps doing it often but on rare occasions they still seem to get mad. Can't they just delete it and move on? It seems like they are just being cry babies over nothing but I don't know if there is more to it. Perhaps one of them Eve weenies can explain this to me.

I asked this very thing and got this kind of response from a DNS pilot:
DNS Pilot wrote: **** off
I asked a second pilot, he was kinder, but his over-all response was, "You'll never understand."
CCP's put them through so much abuse there tolerance for anything is gone, lol. |
