It would make sense both game mechanic wise and realistically. Amarr weapons are +20/-20 so why not Minmitar being -20/+20? This would push it in line. Since Gallente are already +10/-10 with Caldari being -10/+10.
As to realistically making sense, of all the things that should be lousy against some sort of force deflector aka a shield, it would make sense that the most conventional, gas powered projectiles, would be the least effective. Rail pack a higher punch making it harder to deflect while plasma and laser/scrambler tech have a greater sustained effect growing more taxing on a force deflector while being less hardy at punching through solid mass like armor.
If anything, the fact that explosive is -20/+20 encourages projectiles to be the same. You are telling me these bullets have a greater shockwave than explosives? |

Yes, explosives have -20/+20 already, but I think having that profile on a more mainstream damage class has a lot of potential.

shield mercs are already destroyed by this combo, at least this way the flux would be needed, at the moment we also get torn apart by the weapons that are anti armour with our shields in place. |
