18 mill for this toon, 25 for my logi.
I don't use SP to judge wether or not a player is a veteran but rather the way they play AND the knowledge they have about the gameplay, suit building etc.

I consider a veteran anyone who has been here since the Beta Stages.
The there are the ancients of closed Beta, not many of us still active anymore.

Like 29 million. I've been here since before the last hotfix of Chromosome. That's all I can tell you. I've only used 3 boosters the whole time I've been here. I also have stopped playing frequently since the beginning of summer and didn't get to be in the million clone event.

30M SP, counting since day one of closed beta. We tend to think of tenure, the actual age of the account as "veteran", as in been here a long time. Skillpoints factor in skill and dedication, so not quite the same.

To be a true vet, you only need situational awareness, knowledge of in-game mechanics, and some damn good aim

I'm at 54 mil. I don't think you can say someone is a vet just from their SP, but 30 mil is a reasonable minimum I guess. |

Only if I add ALL my character accounts combined, mine is 22M SP.
And I quote Rattati's post here because it has very interesting truth. Even if I had 80M SP, I'd still regard myself as ADVANCED and not Veteran, because I began Dusting only just before the May release (so I haven't had exposure/experience to the fulll evolution of the gameplay mechanics).
And even if I only had 8M (yes, EIGHT), I'd still call myself ADVANCED and not Newberry or Learner anymore. There's just so much "behind the set" knowlege, from the stat-leaning and logi-customized career choices in the game, that I can hardly expect to use 1/4 of all that in "the next skirmish match", and I can hardly expect the SP to reward me for "knowing how to best to Hotdrop 3 blues on 6 reds covering an exterior Null panel"... We have to laugh and accept it: Dust is the only game that can have SP-wealthy Newberrys, and Veterans panhandling for ISK. Could there exist such a thing as... Veteran-Newberrys?
Just so everyone feels comfy about posting their numbers, if anyone is looking to associate player SKILL or DEDICATION by connecting it to Lifetime-SP,...LOL, there is no connection here that's relaible.
I know a handful of players who are great in their ability to suss-on-the-fly, flip, assist, bunt-sacrifice, suicide-to-divert, and can be personally creditted with over two dozen match-wins for their side (when their team is still disoriented and don't understand how they even won   ),... but the life-SP will never reflect how ADVANCED their Dust-know-how has become in so relatively few gameplay hours.
Those players ROCK!!! Good for them!

I haven't seen one of these threads in some time now...
I'm at like 45mil I think. I usually just look at how much more I need to get in order to skill into the next bracket.
A players total SP doesn't define how good they are or if they are "veteran".
How they are on the battlefield And what they do makes them a good player. The proto gear does help though....
I've been playing since mid 2012. Have I capped out every week, no. Some of us can't play 38/12(all day everyday).

29 million and have been around since the start of open beta. And have been using the laser rifle every.....single....build/hot fix. I was there when it was OP in Chromosome, when it was fitted with a terrible scope and fired a beam only hot enough to cause a sunburn, and today.

I must say though, though the long time ive played I have run into many10-15 million Sp players that were as good as any other players with much higher SP. Although the higher SP makes you more able to use different methods in different situations ... e.g ADS

No, they broke my will at Fan Fest. I work 6 weeks on and 2 weeks off now. 12-14 hour shifts so really no time. Regardless, I won't play unless I am home, nothing going on and AE is at war or qsynching.
