Here is a question for you as You seem like a logical person. Do you think that without those links we would have done better or worse as a team?

Sometimes we lose fight because drop uplinks are only on the rooftops and the ennemy hold the ground. So blueberries respawn continously and fall in the middle of the ennemy team and died, all the fight.

So if your uplinks are none seconded by good drop uplinks on the ground, directly placed in the good securits way all around the city, you just accelerate the loss of clones. If you are a full team, your team mates know where to drop, but in pub, it's just giving way for massacre.

But I'm agree, there is nothing worst than beeing the only one to put dropuplinks, and you made a fantastic job. But when it's done, use your dropuplinks to attack. Hmg or scout hack, I don't know but help your team actively.

For a lonely action, attack the less defended objective to be sure of the success. And you are the better to do that because you see everyone with your dropship.

I was in a solo squad. If I were in a squad with a defend order + I was scanning the whole time. I think it could have been a big WP gain. But I can't help but feel that the guy that went 31-21 won't appreciate you getting more payout for a 0-0 in which you never came within 75m of an enemy. And people wonder why Dust players seem so risk-averse... If you've got gungame you might've turned the game around if you'd been groundpounding. Not hard to go 25-0 and turn that L into a W. And in practice, even 25-10 would probably have won the game, because a lot of the blueberry deaths would never have happened. But feel free to ignore me, I know most players don't care about the result. I'm just old fashioned like that, even when it comes to lolpubs.

It's like taking all the hard work I've done trying to emphasize the intelligent, non-spammy, positive tactical use of uplinks and flushing it. Nauseating. It's always been easy enough to do, you can pull it off with only 2-3 spawns on top of towers or in the hills (depending on the map) in a lopsided match and just farm your own team's deaths as you get cloned out, like reverse protostomping or something. That or you'll get 12 snipers and 3 poor bastards getting massacred as payment for actually trying. (Don't even need an Amarr logi, tbh, but it does make them last a little longer.) Would never work in a close match or one where you are the superior side, of course, either nobody needs the spawns or would be carrying their own if they are at all decent. (The godfather of tactical logistics)

Now be a good fanboi and complain about protostomping or snipers being OP. The only objectives hacked after the ennemy holded the city were the outside ones, so all actions in the city just costs clones with no results. So yes, they could win without you... sorry... The best you could do in this situation is stopping the loss of clones by taking back your first fit and return to the outside and spam drops around the 2 objectives. Your firsts drop uplinks disappears in the city and you engage the team to take the outside objectives. No more clone lost, and a possibility to take back these 2 ones.
