guys throw a proximity re then throw a re . re has a wierd throw . i think its what causen it to be a nade . if it had the proximity throw , it wouldnt toss 20mm . take a look plz . ccp needs to know . re pops up in the air |

I hate them just as much in my assault suit as I do my heavy suit. I'm fine with them being able to take out a tanked heavy; I'm not fine with them being used as perfectly cooked grenades. The arming time on them really needs an increase.

Much as they annoy the **** out of me...
Hard counter to HMG horror. And jumping to toss the RE draws fire from said hmg. So it can spectacularly backfire. |

RE user here, one of the first adopters of the Demo-Logi playstyle 2 years ago in my type 2/b logi suit
can confirm trying to toss an RE in somones face will get you killed now, it was a problem when you could detonate from beyond the grave but its not anymore. being able to toss REs gives me the advantage of tossing them from cover minimizing my exposure to fire but in no way can i actually toss this at your face without you putting me flat on my ass.

Let's sum it up all here:
- RE traps are no problem. The range is relatively low so high damage is justified.
- REs need to be viable vs tanks with three required attributes (toss, stick, high damage)
- Toss is no problem
- Fast detonation IS STILL the problem! That makes REs still be usable as grenades!
- Seeing the RE deployed at you and still not having enough time to react is a clear sign of grenade use.
- True that detonation time was nerfed by about doubling the delay. BUT BECAUSE the delay used to be so short like 1-2secs doubling it still didn't make any big difference. Some, but not enough.
- It is still possible to counter the 'toss RE into red strongpoint' by killing the user.
- Game would benefit from non-explosive method of disabling REs (fluxing? hacking?)
TLDR: Increase detonation delay to 6 to 10 secs to take away the grenade use without nerfing any other RE tactic.
People would enjoy Dust a lot more if they accepted the fact that EVERYTHING is subject to change

Fact2: There never was detonating REs while dead. It was from bleedout.
Fact3: After respawn old REs can still be detonated with new suits trigger.

Re can be thrown for few meters only. Detonation time is already few seconds.

It is ridiculous you can't be bothered to recognize the sound of an RE being deployed.
It is ridiculous that you can't find and kill the thrower within the 4 seconds standard REs take to activate, then disable from a distance OR just get the F out of the way within the 4 seconds. An RE has a 6 m radius, which would kill you if you can only run 1.5 m/s. I don't know of any heavy THAT slow.
It is ridiculous that you should expect CCP to subsidize your laziness because you can't be bothered to understand REs and how to counteract them at this juncture.

The only ones that may not have a chance to react are heavies and if you have a HMG and if they have enough time to deploy a Remote and detonate it in your face, you're a bad Heavy.
Honestly Heavies are going to have to accept the fact that at least 1 thing available to Medium and Light suits can kill them. |

And that is after removing the detonation from bleedout (and rightly so).
I would say that is enough.
Unless you want more HMG nerfs, then we will talk if they are equitable.
