If you see someone glowing, it's a forge or SR, then you need to be dodging cause it's going to hurt. As a minmatar I have hated skilled SR users for a long time, although I give them credit for being good.
People are only crying about the SR because they are popular, FOTM. But then maybe they will lay off my CR for a while.

Just like CR are suspiciously good at long range? Or RR is even better at short range than the ScR but is a longer range weapon? I will agree the AR is probably the most balanced, but it also has the most variants, easily negating any pitfalls it has. Not enough range? Use the Tac or Breach.

Yes to the Combat Rifle, but it's not as good at range as the RR or SCR, and I'd honestly prefer a SCR in CQC over the Rail Rifle (unless we're referring to the Assault RR).
All of the Rifles (barring the CR) have variants which negate it's pitfalls, so that's a moot point.

With the buffs to assault suits, the ScR took a hit. It's that much harder to chew through the larger armor buffer before overheating now. I have no problem with them capping the RoF to 8 rounds/second which is about as fast as a human can pull the trigger, just to prevent people using modded controllers. Other than that, I think it's pretty well-balanced.

Id say they need more zoom on their scope and a lot wider hip fire (like a TAR, except maybe worse cause of longer range)
