So a player saves 3 Mil SP (approx. 9 weeks of work) just to skill fully, into a Caldari Scout. He chooses this suit over the others, only because he wants the precision boost that comes with the Caldari.
Now you completely change the bonuses of that suit. How can you not offer the person some sort of respect? Or at least let him choose to switch from the Cardari to the Amarr scout.
It's the electronic equivalent of going to Ford and buying a Mustang only to have some one take the Mustang back a month later and leave you a Ford Festiva, saying this was what Ford meant for the Mustang to really be.
In eve, this is like CCP suddenly deciding that Caldari ships will no longer use missiles. If you want ships with missiles you have to skill into Amarr, because that is the race CCP has decided would be better suited to missiles. (After you have skilled heavily into both missles and Caldari ships.) |

Lol I specced into proto gal sentinel and stopped using it prior to 1.8. Now I have a proto Amarr suit layout that I didn't even have to work for. Thanks CCP !

Sounds more like a FoTM chaser looking to get a respec just to get the next FoTM.
Up until all races got a scout suit, were you a scout? No since you stated in your post you saved up sp for a scout, so that mean you never were a scout, just a FoTM chaser that speced into the most OP scout suit and cloak when it was released.
Stop whining about lost SP and just play the game because with the amount of skills in the game, we were never supposed get any respecs after uprising was released ( back then CCP declared that there were no respecs intended, but since they added stuff to the game they were nice enough to respec just the weapons and drop suits when they were added ) so if you want to change your drop suit, save up more sp and the get your new suit. |

Amarr needed a Bonus to Melee damage per level. Caldari scout does not have enough lows to take advantage of the stealth bonus.
The Amarr with that extra stamina could grab onto a mimitar slave and literal beat the clone stuffing out of him.
Forge Changes needed Officer Splash 3.0, Proto 2.7 Advanced 2.5 Standard 2.1.

Awwwwwwe, you poor widdle baby. Stop whining, the cal scout is still one of the best suits in the game. Good health, great regen, and can still get pretty good scans with its range bonus. Youll just have to.... wait for it..... wait for it..... use precision modules to do it now! What a ******* concept!

Hate to break it to you Hawk but CCP has made changes like that in EVE without respecs before.
The only respec I can remember wasn't even a respec, it was a 'returning of SP' when the learning skills were removed. Even now, the bast you can do is adjust your attributes to train certain things faster.
I'm still of the "No respecs ever" school of thought. They didn't take your mustang and turn it into a fiesta, they took your V8 and put a governor on it.
If I started to list all the ship changes that have completely altered my ships in EVE, I'd hit the character limit. Which currently stands at, 5394....

As long as I have been here I have been promised, fighter jets, hover bikes, and all racial weapons and suits. So dont hold your breath. CCP has changed so much and has rarely refunded anything, so I hate to tell you this but its not going to happen. The only thing to do is try and have fun before they turn off the lights for a game that might be developed called legion.

Welcome to CCP... If IWS can get elected again lol then anything is possible... They changed the Role of Caldari completely and then some more lol... From a scout hunter i became a Tanked scout... Good for me in a way, cause i can play the "Solo selfish role again" lol
Forget about Respec, a simple "Sorry we changed our mind, because that's how we thought we can fix scouts, HTFU" would be nice too...
At least the cal scout is usable... Think about all those Gal Heavies... |

Man, how the hell is he a FOTM chaser. He skilled into something for the bonuses of the suit and now the bonuses have been changed. His reason for skilling intot he suit is gone. That same bonus is now on another suit so it makes perfect sense that he'd want that instead. If precision was swtiched over to minmatar then he'd be asking for that one instead. He's not a FOTM chaser he is just trying to keep his play style (that he spent weeks making) in tact. |

And what is this bs? So every player that goes into a new suit is automatically a FOTM chaser? No1 can choose it because they like it anymore huh? Basically if you weren't a scout at the start you can never in your life be a scout without being down for chasing an op suit. |

The Caldari scout is based on the bonus of scan precision. With CCP trying to rebalance everything in Hotfix Charlie, they definitely made the Caldari scout the most worthless fragile piece of crap suit in the game. They wasn't thinking, they was just doing what can to make all the sore vaginas from overpropulsing. The Caldari scout will soon be the hunter killer again after all the sore vaginas are done overpropulsing.

Quite simple, he wan't a scout until scouts got good, and then he chose to most op scout suit of them all, and that my friiend is a FoTM chaser in all aspects. |
