Now you completely change the bonuses of that suit. How can you not offer the person some sort of respect? Or at least let him choose to switch from the Cardari to the Amarr scout.
It's the electronic equivalent of going to Ford and buying a Mustang only to have some one take the Mustang back a month later and leave you a Ford Festiva, saying this was what Ford meant for the Mustang to really be.
In eve, this is like CCP suddenly deciding that Caldari ships will no longer use missiles. If you want ships with missiles you have to skill into Amarr, because that is the race CCP has decided would be better suited to missiles. (After you have skilled heavily into both missles and Caldari ships.)
Sounds more like a FoTM chaser looking to get a respec just to get the next FoTM.
Up until all races got a scout suit, were you a scout? No since you stated in your post you saved up sp for a scout, so that mean you never were a scout, just a FoTM chaser that speced into the most OP scout suit and cloak when it was released.
Stop whining about lost SP and just play the game because with the amount of skills in the game, we were never supposed get any respecs after uprising was released ( back then CCP declared that there were no respecs intended, but since they added stuff to the game they were nice enough to respec just the weapons and drop suits when they were added ) so if you want to change your drop suit, save up more sp and the get your new suit. |

Man, how the hell is he a FOTM chaser. He skilled into something for the bonuses of the suit and now the bonuses have been changed. His reason for skilling intot he suit is gone. That same bonus is now on another suit so it makes perfect sense that he'd want that instead. If precision was swtiched over to minmatar then he'd be asking for that one instead. He's not a FOTM chaser he is just trying to keep his play style (that he spent weeks making) in tact.
Quite simple, he wan't a scout until scouts got good, and then he chose to most op scout suit of them all, and that my friiend is a FoTM chaser in all aspects. |

If he had to be a FOTM chaser, he would've gone for a Brick tanked Gal scout with a Shotty... He chose be the Hunter... He read the labels unlike other geniuses here and went for a different suit in Day # 1 when everyone else with SP went for Gal scouts... Most people who went to Gal scouts straight, didn't read the label, they read the forums... LOL
But you see the FoTM for scouts was the cal scout and everyone who is smart knows that, the brick tanked scouts had no chance because of cal scout being able to see everything on the map and being able to cloak as well.
The fact that a cal cout could see everything and their mother at once made them much more a FoTM then the gal scout, just because of the draw backs of being a slow moving bricked out scout vs a fast as hell scout that can see the world |

And what is this bs? So every player that goes into a new suit is automatically a FOTM chaser? No1 can choose it because they like it anymore huh? Basically if you weren't a scout at the start you can never in your life be a scout without being down for chasing an op suit.
Not true at all. If a person decides to try something new I'm all for that. But if you speced into a suit and cry for a respec as soon as it gets changed then your a FoTM chaser.
I have been in dust since closed beta and i know the signs of a FoTM chaser when i see them.
Specing into the most op suit in the game and then when it gets changed cry for a respec, is the biggest tell tale sign of a FoTM chaser, because now that the FoTM is changed they don't have enough sp to go into the next one and they cry and whine that they need a respec to be able spec into the next FoTM.
Another sign of a FoTM chaser is the fact that they don't have any sp in the skills that are used to support the class they chose i.e eWAR skills for scout, nanohives and rep tools for logi, armor and shield skills for assalut and heavies.
I have played as a scout when they were great in closed and open beta, I have played as a scout when they were crap before 1.8 and i will keep being a scout no matter what and I have never cried for a respec for anything at all, because i am quite happy with the choices i made in the min scout i use. |
