All right here we go again.
I would like to create an RP story revolving around a small team (4-6 participants) taking on a mission. It will be run in similar fashion to the previous event being semi DMGÇÖd. For clarification this means that I will at times be providing you with a situation or choice and depending on how that choice is handled will change the events taking place.
While I am open to allowing inexperienced individuals to participate (first time for everything) there are some standards that must be met. Please refrain from posts that are only a few lines long. They are difficult to respond to and very rarely contribute anything substantial to the story. It is assumed that you are capable of writing at a level that others involved can comprehend what you are saying or doing. Perfect grammar is not required but please at least run spell check. Also under no circumstances (unless given permission) are you to control the actions of another playerGÇÖs character for obvious reasons. This rule will change if the character becomes inactive and most be controlled to move the story forward.
CS Name: Gender: Race: Appearance: What they look like, and also if dropsuit is customized in appearance. Role: This includes battlefield role and suit class, load out can be placed here as well. Other: Any other relevant information on character
So this is the Character Sheet (CS) and it is pretty self-explanatory. Fill it out. I do ask that you do not create any Mary Sue type characters. A bio is not required as that is something that can come out during the RP.
If anyone has any questions feel free to ask.

Name: Jonathan Alexander Steele*
Callsign: Hawkeye Occultus Gender: Male
Race: Ethnic Gallente
Appearance: ~1.8 metres tall (slightly less than 5.905... ft for you imperial users), dark brown/black hair, fair complexion. ((really need to get a mugshot))
Dropsuit Appearance: Modified Sentential frame sporting augmented armour plating, using the Amarrian gold palette for the plates and trim, and deep crimson for the fabric. The eyes glow green rather than the standard yellow or red. Several phrases are carefully inscribed into the armour plates in Amarrian, but Hawkeye doesn't actually know what they mean. Role: Heavy anti-infantry unit (can also fly, to a limited degree).
RETRIEVING FITTINGS. PLEASE STAND BY.
Other: Relaxed attitude, can act in a foolhardy manner, has a secret addiction to synthetic coffee. Relatively stable psyche. Relatively...

I will confirm before the plot even begins whether or not I can post regularly for the next few weeks/ week. I do want to make one of these work and to produce a full plot from one.
Additionally you could also consider that this is between two Empire Factions or their subsidiaries.... and therefore certain individuals could be opposing the main party (Namely my Amarrian self)
Name: Kador Ouryon
Callsign: True Adamance
Gender: Male
Race: Udorian (True Amarr)
Appearance: 6' 2" in terms of natural and unassisted height. Photo supplied as of early YC 113 //: http://evewho.com/pilot/Kaldrin+Ouryon
Dropsuit Appearance: Customised Commando Ak.0 of a Carthum design, featuring modified dropsuit pattern designating him as a soldier of Classiarii as well as more developed adaptive armour composites.
Role: Suppressive Fire Power
Personality: Kador is a serious and dutiful individual with a great compassion for his fellow man, more over he displays a great deal of sympathy and care for mortals free of the burdens of immortality. He however is quick to anger when his religion is called into question, either in the sense that his Faith is doubted, or the very nature and existence of his God. This being a result of the Classiarii's doctrine of harnessing strong emotions to fuel battlefield efficiencies. He also displays a significant knowledge of Sani Sabik cults, as well as the operation and maintenance of vehicles, especially in terms of laser technology and capacitor emission systems and power grids. He is often accompanied by the Slave Satja Askarin (photo supplied as of YC 114 //: http://evewho.com/pilot/Satja+Askarii) however she is known to be within the Ammatar Mandate studying at a branch of the Consular University [location not disclosed] having taken on the fullness of his responsibilities as a Classiarii recruiter he appears physically more worn and less tolerant of weakness in his allies. Known to be testing one of the Empires prototype MAV designs for urban combat [battlefield image taken// http://digital-art-gallery.com/oid/97/640x376_16848_Table_top_tank_game_commission_2d_sci_fi_tanks_picture_image_digital_art.jpg]

Glad to have both of you, and here is some more information on the plot.
The basic premise will be the recovery/abduction of a high value individual. Two contracts will be issued, one for the abduction of the individual, and another for the protection of the same individual. This opens up the possibility for Mercs to be on opposite sides. In the opening post I will provide more information on both contracts and it will be up to you to decide which side you stand on.
If anyone has any questions ask away. |

All right so the individual in question is a scientist working for the Carthum Conglomerate. The nature of their research revolves around weapons and biotech. They are currently stationed on a terraformed planet in low-sec space conducting live tests on a small uprising taking place on the planet. Recent chatter has indicated that another corporation may be attempting to acquire the scientist due to their current remote location. |

I haven't quite decided yet if I will act as a player in this one. I am leaning towards yes at the moment but we will see how many decide to participate. |

Unsure weather or not to support Carthum on Planet X...
On the one hand, they do make some pretty nice things (which I even use!)...
But on the other hand, the other party may have better things (if only I knew who they were!)...
But what if they are evil...
Or worse...

I'm ready to take this on, can't wait! Let me just get Galm up to speed with a new bio. I think I'll follow Kador's template if he doesn't mind.
Quote:Name: Galm Fae
Callsign: Pixy
Gender: Male
Race: Intaki-Civire
Appearance: Stands 5'8" while baselining, known to wear a well worn olive drab bomber jacket covered with various military patches. Photo current as of late YC115.: https://image.eveonline.com/Character/94475598_1024.jpg
Current Military Insignia: http://i.imgur.com/tfpHgPN.png
Dropsuit Appearance: Customized Commando ck.0 outfitted with external short range heartbeat sensors and long range targeting computers. Rather than a typical steel rucksack, a compact nanohive is bolted to the rear of his suit. Insignia applied to left shoulder.
Role: Vertical Envelopment // Shock Trooper
History:
Galm Fae is one of those atypical hybrids of a disillusioned ruffian and a dutiful patriot. His previous connection with the Templis Dragonaurs (while not condoned) proved helpful in providing State intelligence with Mordu's Legion documents and transmissions up until his exile from Pure Blind.
Following a brief career in the Seituoda Taskforce Command, Galm deserted his corporation mere days before a public inquiry into war crimes committed by his unit in the Kor Azur region of Amarr space. The results of these inquiries however were regretfully lost in the weeks that followed during the infamous Purge. Having narrowly escaped death at the hands of deep cover espionage, terrorist cells, military tribunal, and political uprising, Galm fled into the Tenal region where he firmly planted himself in a Guristas spaceport. During this time Galm entered a downward spiral of drug and alcohol abuse to cope with the stress of both the Purge and the horrors he had witnessed in the Taskforce Command.
After months of making a cheap living by fighting in Guristas gladitor matches, Galm fell in love with one Niina Eskola. When she did not immediately reciprocate his feelings he left the station to return to a life of mercenary work. In time however, Niina returned to him with open arms and the two are suspected to have eloped in early YC116. It would appear that their relation has brought a degree of stability to Galm, who quickly came to own several small businesses while fighting as a freelance mercenary under Niina's Eskola Ergonomics.
Personality:
Previous medical evaluations revealed several issues in Galms original set of implants, leading to a 'mental hangup' in the transfer of consciousness. This lead to fits of rapid onset dementia and anxiety attacks, driving him towards drugs to combat this illness. In time this discrepancy has subsided, stabilizing his behavior to mild neurosis. This improvement seems directly connected to his relationship with Niina, and begins to regress if the two fall out of contact for too long.
Cunning, experienced, and jaded far beyond his years Galm has learn to transfer his utter apathy and contempt for his own life into a childlike disposition. Infinitely curious and easily entertained, he is perfectly capable of making his own fun and cracking a clever comment when the situation presents itself.

Additionally if any of this plotline involving the Carthum agent is station in Amarr FW low sec it is entirely possible lore wise that the back drop battle you mentioned would be Classiarii Kamiera's drafted from the Kamiera programme we ran a few months back on their peace keeping efforts against insurrectionist forces.
Since most of this will be considered non canon I believe it is safe to use that if you so chose......however if you want this to be considered Dust 514 canon then I suppose we'd need permission for the top.
Otherwise one of the reason I suggested, and I'm assuming Jester was thinking it too, the opposing story lines is so that we can have this kind of conflicting story lines.
Additionally I am a primary HAV operator...... I would love to use it in the story but that separates me far too much from the main infantry centric plotlines. Unless the story ends or begins with Team True transporting our fair doctor then I will not be using a vehicle at all for the duration of the plot for the sake of continuity.

Well, considering your training in the use of mechanized transportation, plus your secret testing of MAV designs, I would say a good compromise, as you say; would be transporting the V.I.P. in an APC. You are a very trustworthy individual to undertake this duty, with both your qualifications and obvious devotion to all things Amarr.

Alright folks, we are getting a really poor division of forces between the assault team and the security forces. Moreover, I'm getting a nagging feeling that it is far too likely that some people might sway battles against another character in their favor.
I'm starting to suspect that we might have to collectively commit to only the security team for the sake of fairness and our own sanity. I don't want to have Galm's air assault get ripped to pieces before I even have time to post.

I think at the moment the division is right down the middle, correct me if i'm wrong. I will not allow a character to do something as ridiculous as you suggested. Characters can only act upon information that is available to them. Anything discussed in the OOC or on the other side of the IC is not available knowledge to players on the other side.

This...
"He screamed in agony as the foot long blade slid ever so easily into the flesh of his torso, passing through skin, muscle, and shattering against the lowest of his ribs. Fragments of metal splintered inside him penetrating his stomach and left kidney, as the tiny razor monofilament's that gave the Blooding Knife its name left a jagged wound along its path.
He couldn't breath.
The length of the blade was icy cold but his lower torso was afire with pain. He writhed in agony clutching vainly at the wound, blood streaming in hot rivulets across the rapidly repairing armour plates. Soon the armour would heal around the blade, and it would be too late to remove."
and......
"The flames were his world. They licked at his frame, setting the nerves of his torso ablaze with warmth. Not pain....just warmth.
Beyond that he was vaguely aware of movement, another burst of incomprehensible speech, something forcing him down against the rough ground. Kador struggled weakly, but to no avail. Instead he tore at the thin nanoweave fibres of his suit as if trying to rip the very flesh from his body to escape the flames."

I've seen worse. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dhRUe-gz690 |
