Thanks Simple kdr matchmaking. Fixes a ton of problems, and since this game is on its way out, it fixes most of the ones that are ever going to get fixed. This So people with a high kdr can barely find a game? yeah no thanks.
You have to admit it is ridiculous that the vets and the top players get put against noobs and poor basics all day every day. People should be matched against those with similar skill otherwise this game will continue to be a total joke for new players and casuals....

I have 30 mil skill points. Newbs kill me majestically. Kdr is a measurement of who is eliminating whom the fastest. It's a simple stat, it's easily applied and calculated, and it tosses cheap tactics that kill in with skilled killers. The dross will burn away in the light of beautiful, glorious kdr mm. The only people who don't want it like a beloved son are petty kdr padders who live to stomp and nothing else.
K/D(r) WP/D(r) matchmaking fixes the whole game. Period.

Says the guy with 30m Skill points... that then wants to be matched with new players.
Double the SP of some of the best slayers actively playing the game currently.
Sometimes just take a step back and look at the big picture.. it helps.
If you put all the Sharks in the same pool.. And they all get tougher and meaner but take more losses.. How do they even have a high KDR to separate them?
How do you inspire lower end players to improve at all? what is the incentive?
CEO Pyrex and You should be placed in matches with other players that have high skill points, That is the matchmaking DUST needs.. Steel sharpens steel and you have all the tools at your disposal. At the same time you shouldn't be placed against full coordinated squads as a bunch of solo dudes.
The problem in DUST's matchmaking HAS and always will be putting 30m SP characters up against characters with 1-5m skill points, or even 8m tbh. There is no equal plain of competition that exists where players could then compete in that circumstance...
It's just my sh!t is better then yours because I have been playing longer "neener neener neener." I win.
Which is actually good but only in the scale of reach of that player... so a 1-5m skill point character should be fighting ADV skill point level mercenaries.. Wondering what he's dieing to and looking to buy that item or skill into it. inspiring to improve. Not seeing a Boundless HMG and a Proto Sentinel and the 3-4 months to get it.
That actually hurts sales instead of promoting them.
KDR MM is a silly concept based on selfish desires. We want the game to be better as a whole not just for a select few. |

My idea would technically be in 2 parts (for balance sake.)
1- Dropship weapon, bouncing bomb... Rather than just dropping something on someones head (no skill) it has to bounce 3 times before it explodes and can only be dropped from a low altitude (not that you can see anything above 10 meters most of the time anyway.)
2-Anti-gravity mines, if you're gonna have dropships launching bombs why not have mines that float 100 or so meters in the air. |

Nothing on that list is getting done for Dust. So the entire list is pointless.
Let it go, the thing is dead. You guys have everything they are going to give you, and that isn't enough to make a decent game out of.

I want bug fixes more than new features.
It seems simple, but fix the nanite injector. I'm certain that countless unnecessary deaths occur due to this equipment malfunctioning.
Fix remote deployment. How many vehicles are lost...?
Lower our frustration level due to bugs AND add new goodies.
A corp for lonewolves where squadding and comms are optional, but exceptional team play is expected.

Hey if stuff like this is the best way to get ccp attention then we will do it. And if leigion gets scraped then they have to turn back to dust.

No they don't.
It's not a matter of "getting CCP's attention". Of course CCP already knows that we'd LIKE new content, but they've already made their decision: NO NEW CONTENT ON THE PS3.
PERIOD.
They tried, they failed, and they've conceded that continuing to develop Dust on the PS3 just isn't possible and, this late in the console's life, with the PS4 already out, there IS NO TURNING BACK.
By all means, feel free to keep playing Dust in it's current state, but don't bother getting your hopes up for anything new because, with the exception some more hotfixes, this is as good as it's going to get.
Expecting anything more would just be setting yourself up for disappointment. |

Even if most of that is true did even take into factor that most people can agree on is that leigion was the biggest contender of stopping dust from ever being updated again. But think about it legion could get scraped at any time and there's a big chance of that happening since ccp don't even know if leigion will ever see the light of day. And if leigion does get scraped what do you think they are going to focus on Eve Valkire I only see Valkrie as little side project that's just there to give people with a oculus rift something to test out. And all this stuff could happen at any time.

Better buy lots of Aurum then!
New content costs money to develop, after all.

(FYI, the biggest contender of stopping Dust from ever being updated again was CCP, and their admission that their dream of what they wanted Dust to become just wouldn't be possible due to the limitations of the PS3) Well since I got every single blueprint I wouldn't have to worry about buying anymore aurum. and yes it's true ccp were the big main contenders but if leigion gets scraped then they would have to focus on dust.

And another thing if Ccp want us to buy more arum then they need to bring blueprints back and add new ones to and if thy did then it would sell like hotcakes. And they don't even have to do a client update to add them back. I mean if they can add new militia weapons and remove militia hmgs then it wouldn't be hard to add blueprints back. And this from a guy that owns every single blueprint. And I wouldn't be surprised if they gave us that same excuse that they always tell people saying that it will break Dust's "economy" it won't.

Either way there has to be some elemental level of proper match making or even match type selection. Easy, Medium, WTFOFFICERSTOMP lol. What ever it needs to be called and however it is done.
If the game does not provide for balance then let the players balance themselves out with selection.

A game being "balanced" is always, at best, a rough approximation. No game is truly perfectly balanced -- even in chess, one player gets to go first. A game being balanced is like a person being in shape; there's no strict, defined line at which a game goes from being in balance to out of balance. It's a gradual continuum.
