Name officer weapons after Known community users, RPers, Legendaries

I dont know about you but I think it discouraging to have officer weapon named after some no-life that abused broken mechanics to get that weapon. I'd much rather use a, "Contra's B-24/J Shotgun" over "random kid that is on summer break's shotgun" . Just saying, if this event was in someway to honor DUST veterans there is a better way. If not, then I retract what I've said see you space cowboy...

But if CCP wants to reward the community's most active members, then I think they should get dropsuits based on their race and class they play the most. For example: a Sgt. Kirk's Gallente Assault Suit (sorry, don't know if you actually play an Assault). It shouldn't be anything really fancy (like crazy OP slots etc). Maybe just something small, like it can run a meter faster or regenerates shields 15% quicker. But it should have a unique color scheme, and a little note on the info page about who Sgt Kirk is. Then if someone scavanges Sgt Kirk's Assault Suit they can be all like, "whoa, who's this guy? what a cool suit!"

But there are a few names that I keep seeing pop up. I consider them legendary community figures. They've never given up on the game, and they continue to make the forums alive. I think they should be rewarded in some way too. Hence the idea to have their names on unique suits you can scavenge. Especially since some of the "greatest" players for certain weapons have already left dust.

Players sign up to their weapon choices and have the opportunity to be randomly selected into a series of elimination matches to decide who the winner was. There should be a tourney, statistics for a month....then the top players for each weapons get invites to special matches where they run against each other but only kills with said weapons count for a specific number of matches.. even voting for the so called legends to be auto placed in the brackets would work so nobody is left out. Observe the public trust. Protect the innocent. Uphold the law.

Not about being the best at something. You may not agree but it is the fairest way to run the contest, obviously those who win had the skill to compete even if they weren't well known forum users. The reward goes to people who clip lay the game, not to those who complain that their forum/YouTube cred should earn them a weapon. You got your playing card let others get their guns.
