An army of scouts is what it takes to beat me in Skirmish, shotgun or not it's pretty ******* stupid when most matches are decided by who spams the most scouts. I faced Chatelain, NoGameNoLife, RON1N, and others in one match but then died several times because it's so easy for a scout to be everywhere and annoy me every time another scout buddy shows up. Chromosome with all its bugs was still far more enjoyable with the suits being balanced overall, scouts receiving several buffs after some updates (especially the ridiculous fitting freedom) was unnecessary if you were to simply get good. Because of this preposterous crutch I'm forced to play with either a heavy or another scout to have any impact on tough matches. WHEN THE **** ARE SCOUTS GETTING A PROPER NERF? WHEN THE **** WILL SHOTGUNS STOP BEING A CRUTCH FOR SCOUTS?

Heavies are second to scouts in its problems and are too slow to be that relevant in skirmish. Scouts can slay better than assaults and take objectives easier than any other suit.

Sorry if it was me. Though I use only knives - I can't handle shotguns post-hotfix.
It's been Scouts vs Heavies for 1.8 onwards. Tuck in and tighten your seatbelts.

See there is the issue. Not scouts nor heavies.
It is the lack of what makes an assault a good assault.
Logi's were/are very effective medium suits. Assaults aren't particularly specialized but if used well they are good in a face to face fight. Just don't expect a scout to show their face and don't stand still against heavies.
Still assaults need some love. Pity I normally just treat them like heavies and give them a box of chocolates too.
Turrent - the sound a tankers pants makes when he finds out the four swarm militia doing squats around him aren't AFK.

That is a function of shotguns for ages ... Well assuming the hit computes.
Because of the way the skills work with shotguns the unskilled MLT is a superior point blank CQC weapon.
Skill reduces spread so makes shotguns perform better over range but reducing point blank ease. Play a commando with one and have fun.

Your memory of Scouts in Chrome must be different from mine. From a biotic scout's standpoint, Chrome was too easy on us and Uprising certaintly hasn't been.
If your point is that Assaults are outclassed, then you and I agreement. Once they are fixed, if the Scout frame remains better at frontal assault, then we should consider another of nerfs. Scouts want balance as much the next guy (unless that next guy is a pilot).

No. Stop sugar coating the "I win fit" of the month. It is incredibly OP. And I say this as I have seen scouts with 600+ armor moving with no speed penalty and simply owning my squad and the rest of my team.
Why? Because they have EHP that of a heavy, while till maintaining mobility, with 2 equipment slots and high reps.
Scouts needs a nerf. it's either
PG?CPU nerf
Remove one equipment slot alongside some PG/CPU
Scouts can only use side arms.

The last PC I played I used a Scout and came out in 2nd with 9/1 and several hacks made, Heavies needed pampering and escort from logis while I didn't.
