Last I looked my eHP is less then my nanohives. I'd love to see the fit that is 600 eHP, no speed penalties and can function as a scout.

Scouts should not have have the slots they do. As a light suit you shouldn't be able to absorb a single bullet. I say 1 high slot, 1 low slot and 1 equipment, at basic and advance levels. At proto 2h-1l-2e. I'm sick of scouts to the point that I refuse to have in my squad and will try to show the enemy the scout localation.

Why?
My default scout is an uplink dropper with compact nanohive to self support or backup assaults or lone wolf heavies.
I flank and go behind enemy lines and find the enemy uplinks and take them out quickly and if snipers are around I have a speed/RE outfit to drop behind them and leave a care package.
I'm most deadly using electronics (damps, range extenders) and biotics not by plating up.

I refuse to use my scout because it's too easy. They took arguably the most difficult role to master, over buffed it because people were having hard times with it because they lacked the use of good tactics and stealth and made it easier than blaster tankers were when 1.7 dropped. But I suppose, it's okay because "They have evened the playing field for scouts" even though scouts were always one step ahead. There should be a way where you could go back to before they buffed scouts. But it's ask balanced right? The gal scout nerf and plate changes did nothing besides full up the remaining pg and cpu left after the 4 complex plates, proto weapon and proto side arm and complex shield extenders were added... once again, GG CCP and your false sense of balance.

I was going up against this Gallente Proto Scout (I thought he was Standard because my tacnet always say that all scouts are STD). He had 600+ Armor HP and had some pretty high shields for a gallente (Like 130 or something) so he had overall 700 something EHP while still moving and strafing as fast.
He didn't really annoyed me as much though since he was engaging everyone from afar with his CR rather than just zooming through everyone with a shotty or ACR but still. Scouts are OP as hell. Being able to tank that much EHP whil mainting such speed.

Fine print. EHP 600+ and no speed penalties. That much armour is probably more then 10% speed penalty.

Personally i feel the shotgun is the perfect weapon for a scout, its meant to get behind enemy lines and cause mayhem. Its short range and need for accuracy means that the weapon has to deal a good amount of damage.
Yes I use a scout, as I use a variety of suits. I don't like the cloak as I prefer the old fashioned way of getting behind the enemy.
Not sure why you need to change into a heavy or scout to have an impact though, Cal assaults are still viable and the world needs more logistics, the game isn't kill kill kill, it's teamwork.
I will however, agree with you in that I think a scout should not be able to perform the amount of roles it currently can on the battlefield.
Sort out Dust before Legion or that will be a mess too

And yeah, scouts have way too much fitting power. It's crazy what I can put on just my scout g/1 compared even to my Amarr logi. I have to make virtually no sacrifices.

A dozen Scouts that don't work together aren't much of a threat. It's when one of them (or even someone who ISN'T a Scout) draws your fire, then a Scout comes up behind you, using teamwork, that it becomes a problem. And in that situation, cloak or not, eHP lead or not, they got the drop on you, and they have help from their decoy, so they deserve to beat a player who's out on their own unless that lone wolf is a legitimately better player.
And if you're that good, then you can beat it, so it's not OP. |

Went up against a squad of all GK0s (scouts and sentinels) recently. Admittedly it was 0.H and I.H, but, while the sentinels I get, a scout just should never be able to tank my LR Amarr assault. Just sayin.

+1 because I do agree, I did love the Chromosome build. It just felt so different and fresh. Its like they changed it to Uprising 1.0 and over time just tried to adjust that back to what Chromosome used to already be!
However I do not agree that the shotgun is OP. You rarely see that weapon NOT on a scout suit. That tells me that it is the class that makes that weapon viable.
