Make it 3/4/5 or 3/4/6.
It's a simple fix that will go a long way.

And yes, the Gal moves as fast a snail and can take a direct hit from a rail gun. I've done it, shot a Proto Gal heavy with Rail and he survived with little hp left, it was amazing. I've also tanked orbitals.

With the new proposed numbers, everyone will stack Enhanced plates even more now than they already do.

Thanks, we meant to increase the speed penalty and I forgot to add it to the googledocs, please spread the word.

@Booby, 7 for the complex may be just enough to break it. And yes, you are right about the old plate numbers.

I think 7% would be the sweet spot. They still provide a crazy amount of HP, but they actually slow you down to the point that maybe scouts won't be stacking them. For heavies, well, maybe they shouldn't have the HP of Zeus AND still be relatively quick, especially with their rotation speed. If you want to brick tank, you should be a brick, but the speed penalties need to keep heavies from becoming a cinder block. Heavies will still be able to tank as well, since Complex Ferro will take up no CPU and PG, and provide almost the same HP as Basic Armor Plates. They just won't be the 1500 eHP bullet hose walls of death anymore.

I don't mind the speed penalty going up but do wish they got rid of the jump penalty. There is nothing more infuriating that going up to a 12 inch ledge and not be able to jump high enough to clear because you happen to be platted out.

Agreed. A small curb should be jump-able. Shoot, in my Min Commando suit, with no armor plates, I still can't jump over small obstacles or railings sometimes. I understand the concerns of heavies jumping. Heavies hopping over small curbs? Yes please. Heavies (not brick tanked) hopping over railings? Would be nice. Heavies hopping on crates and ledge to ledge? Not so much, haha.

Peculiar how common the Gal Sentinel is in PC. How do you explain this phenomena?

Peculiar how common the Gal Sentinel is in PC. How do you explain this phenomena? It's because being fully tanked as a heavy and sitting on a point isn't a bad thing.

Peculiar how common the Gal Sentinel is in PC. How do you explain this phenomena? Because hmg doesnt need to be point blank like the shotty. And is more forgiving with misses. And because rep tools are more common now.

I believe complex armor plates are already at the sweet spot when it comes to speed penalties.
On my Gal Assault, I lose 0.4m/s per plate(!). On scouts that number is even bigger.
Complex plates are rarely used anyway, don't increase their speed penalty.

I run a single complex plate, a rep and a range amp for my GalAssault. 411 armour, 8.25 reps a second and around 22 meter scan radius. I think my db is around 36, not a bad suit...

i dont think we need to force every player to be slower than a tree with armor. if this penalty is being increased gal and amarr shouldnt be forced to suffer from it.
but honestly the armor penalty feels fine where it is.
scouts can take the hit. so they will be the least likely to be brick tanked. but with armor tanked suits already being so slow. i dont see any reason from lowering their sprint speed from 4m/s to 1m/s.
dust 514 shall be eternal.
pve for dust 514.
dont worry my logis. i will protect u.
unless its a scout. itd be too late
