Well, the squad I played with was mostly meh players, the only other Rainbow was Taz-666.
Well, this wasn't exactly fighting WTF in PC, just another set of pub like all the rest. Some decent russians in 2 games.
I used it on 3 different city maps, you know, where its supposed to be used. When the cities were all blue and cleared I tok my BPO lav and drove to the comfort of the outside letters, plenty of cover etc....
I might see that a shotty scout can definately be a threat, the ones I faced couldn't take down my HP (1273) in time for me to simply turn around and press R1.
I did about as good as I nomally would do, (except that I did way better vs other fatties), but this is so far from my playstyle you can possibly get short of camping I have no experience, knows no "tricks" and so on. I mostly run with maxed out weapons, protosuits and everything else for that matter.
@ Sota = I have no issues with fatties with light weapons or the suits themselves, they are mostly easy kills, its strictly the gun I think is insanely good. But I have absolutely no PC experience with it, other than dying to small blobs of fatties walking through fields of triage hives with logis tailing.....
@ Spkr = Seriously man, ehr..... I have so far defended the HMG's range and damage and even turn speed, the only gripe I've had with it so far is the pushback effect of it, making my speed advantage close to meaningless. Its now, when I kill people with it, not when I get killed by it, I start to QQ. I dunno if you're very young, have dyslectia or are simply trolling, if you actually mean half the stuff you post you get the dubious honour of being the stupidest person I've ever faced on the net, and the competition is quite hard... And not only that, you're spiteful and full of butthurt QQ. You come into nearly every thread I make and start your offensive QQ, mostly leaving valid argumentation and relevant points out off it, just to tell everybody what an idiot I am. I feel really sorry for you man, I'm glad I'm not you.

Surely that rainbow is just a bit of purple & yellow after this weekend?
Yeah I'm here, not playing much though.
We currently don't have any clan forums outside of these pages so I hope I can set up an Enjin site this weekend.
Initial response seems to make us head towards PS2 on the PS4 - Some of us are buying a PS4 for one of our ex-eastern Europe players so that we can all be together. A cute and fussy act if I say some myself.
Yeah I couldn't give a rats arse about gun balance in Dust (doesn't mean I'm not right though), I just like the banter and not least reading Spkr's inevital QQ response.

If heavies were on radar 24/7 then it wouldn't be a problem. Inside a scout suit I just avoid heavies until I feel like I found a good position to take on it. Inside an assault there could be a heavy around the corner and I wouldn't know it until it's too late.
Which is why I think scan range should be increased to 100m~ but reduce strength over range.
This will especially help with tanks, no hiding from our radars, even as heavies.

so heavies the only class that is made to stand and deliver damage , has only 2 weapons, (and dont say there will be more for them in this game beacuse of legion ) doenst have equipment, are the slowest, have the worst E-war capabilities if any and have the biggest hitbox of all the infantry classes, are OP ? beacuse they only have 1 weapon for infantry and is only effective at 40m, meanwhile the others have laser, RR, CR, remotes explosives.... heck even the plasma cannon can off heavies easy beacuse of how slow they are.

This would get a resounding thumbs up in my book and I have pushed for this in the past with some random comments but that was during the time of the scanners so it didn't go over so well .

This is why I just like to enjoy the tears - because you're not thinking of competitive play - only silly pubs.
When heavies start going 23/3 like scouts are doing - then we can talk about nerfing us.
Until then - enjoy seeing us at the bottom the leaderboard in each PC.

Problem with HMG is the suit - it cannot preform. It completely relies on the gun. Now you want to nerf the gun? Then buff the **** out of the heavy suit.
But, honestly, imo, heavies should be removed from game. CCP can't balance them for shyt.

At least it doesn't kill me in half a second from 100+ meters away like the 1.7 RRs could.
Try using the HMG on an open map with a slow ass heavy. I dare you. The HMG is situational, only good for point defense and CQC. If someone maintains their distance on you instead of rushing you like a dumbass you're dead. You're also scout bait.
Run into more people than you can handle and you'll also die very easily.
Also, the better HMGs are mainly good for the extra range. You can only shoot so far with the basic HMG.

It occured to me when logging in today, I have never used one. 120 000 + kills if you include alts and beta, and I have never used that gun once.
So I bought 3 of the basic ones through the faction marked, got my Dren fatty, put on a toxin smg, 2x proto armor reps and a shield extender and tried it out.
WOW - simply WOW. I have always expected it to be easy mode for scrubs with no gungame but come on! The gun is simply put; completely riddiculous in its current form, it destroyes anything, mostly with them not being able to fire back due to the pushback effect.
Several guys got the complete drop on me, filled me full of CR bullets and I only have to casually turn around and more or less one-shot them, no effort or even haste.
And another thing, I got headshot after headshot with it, just aim a little up and it takes care of it for you.
Yeah its supposed to be powerfull and all, but should it really be so EFFORTLESS?
I lost my 2 first suit to gues what? Yes another fatty with a HMG, and the last one to a shotty scout, but at that point I'd basically cleared the room.
And this experience is with 0 skillpoints invested (well core skills obviously), in a 16 K isk+gun fitting...
I can only imagine what would happen if I put 8 M SP into suit and gun and tossed another 200 K isk on the fitting, making it "equal in terms of investment" to my other fittings......
Think you got some kind of skill running around with 1500 HP and a death ray? Think again - I proclaim it being the NR1 EZ-mode of Dust..... gladly theres no more update Gastun ftw bitches

I never played PC, my understanding though is it is a skirmish match with a high zerg factor, which plays against the strengths of the heavies. So yeah, heavies have some disadvantages but the HMG is too efficient at its job.

If you think the standard HMG is crazy at CQC then try the burst. If you can keep your rounds on target you can rip apart pretty much anything in 3-4 bursts max. Scouts aren't as much of a problem if you can get them in your sights. I pretty much only use the burst now, I find it's a good compliment for the speed of a minny sentinel. |

Please ... just give it a rest already and this has nothing to do with FF comments because if your going up against skilled heavies your going to have problems , since your claiming it's easy mode .
If it was OP then it really wouldn't matter , shot-gunners will still give you trouble and also CR users as well and with the large amount of players that quit and prob came back with less skill points it will seem easy , there are a lot of new characters playing now so everything might seem OP . ^^This^^^ people need to stop comeing here saying everything thing is OP cause they tryed it out in a pub match and went 50-3 because there are some brand new clueless redots running around. LOL i just had to catch myself cause i was about to post about how OP the scout shotgun is cause i tryed a full ewar fit with no HP and went 49-1 but then i realised that i was just playing against really bad players. Heavys fine scouts fine just buff the assault suit and we have a party.

the only thing about heavies I think needs changing is their turn speed.
the hmg should mow you down in seconds and their suits should take a beating.... however if you can get behind them they should die 90% of the time due to slow turning speed... then they would be perfect.
I have an alt who is a heavy but I hardly play him, as a shotgun logi with remotes, I don't really have an issue killing them one on one, so I'm not some heavy scrub who doesn't want a nerf.
