What is making all the tweeny boppers rage right now is the realization of that little voice in the pit of their stomach's that says, "Consoles arrreee fooooor chiiiiiiildren". What CCP did with Dust 514 is LITERALLY drop it for the PC. Console kiddie nightmare turned realization. All the evidence you need is spewed forth on the forums right now. It's good enough to put choclate syrup on top of it and lap it up. So....delicious.

Just announced, EVE is being moved to PS4, and you will have to use a controller to be viable cause they will poorly make the KB/M. Also, everything you have accomplished in your time there will be deleted or 'transfered' (not likely).

I used to say I game on console and PC. But these past few days have made me even more embarrassed to say I play console games.

Get a long HDMI cable.

Put your PC in the living room.

Put that cable in your second HDMI slot on your PC, run it to the TV

Get a wireless PC controller, or one with an extended cable.

Enjoy Legion from the comfort of your couch.

(I feel for you, it sucks, but it was inevitable. PC / maybe next gen consoles are the only way the vision of DUST will ever be realized. That's the simple truth)

I don't care. If I wanted to play PC games, guess what? I would be already. And IDGAF how cheap or easy building your own gaming rig is, or how much awesomer than a console it will be. I own 3 computers. I have a very nice top of the line Mac with a big ass screen and everything.

But I don't play games on it. Why?

I want to come home after a 12 hour day, sit down on my motherf*cking couch, put my feet up on the coffee table, pop open a beer, and shoot some bastards in the face on my HDTV with 6.1 digital surround, like God freaking intended it.

I would absolutely love to give you sales data for digital purchases, but the company that makes up 75% of all PC digital sales (steam) does not release sales figures. I can tell you that valve made under 1 billion dollars last year, which would put it at about 1/5th of activision.

Face it, PC is a secondary thought to most game publishers because of rampant, easy piracy and easy cheats and lack-luster sales.

There is ONE analyst stating that PC software revenue was $22 billion last year, and since steam does release it's numbers, I would love how he came to that figure. Console gaming? 38 billion dollars, and that is from multiple sources.

Pc sales are declining 10% a year for the last few years.

PC gaming is a socially unacceptable (i.e. nerdy) thing and PC gamers are mostly social pariahs. Sorry guys, it is the truth.

Dust can only be great on PC. It can only integrate with EVE and Valkyrie properly on PC. They should have developed it on PC from the start, but we've had a lot of fun, devs have learned a lot, and a lot of the game has already been built and tested. Now Dust is moving to PC so that it can truly be Dust, the groundbreaking EVE world MMOFPS, instead of a lobby shooter with some core aspects of gameplay in place and the rest not do-able due to PS3 hardware, Sony policies, and gimpy Playstation network.

If you don't want to play it on PC, best of luck and there will be awesome games on console of course, maybe including Dust 2, but hopefully you will appreciate at some point that the move to PC was wise when you see how it enabled the game to evolve.

I'll be the last person to defend how CCP went about all of this, all I'm saying is that for me, personally, this was basically the best case scenario. I really hope they manage to port it to PS4 as well, I really do, but for right now, PC is what will allow them the flexibility and breathing room to actually bring us the original vision. I was sold on that vision, and I was just about to set DUST down for good because I knew it would never be able to live up to that vision.

CCP restored my hope with Legion. I'm still skeptical, I still have no plans of throwing my money at them any time soon, but for me, I couldn't ask for better news (again, not HOW that news was given)

It sucks for console only players, no doubt, and they have every right to be upset. However, I think CCP made the right call here, if from no other perspective than a business one. DUST would never compete with next gen games. Legion will give them a run for their money.

Zahle you should talk to your kid, he seems to be a lot smarter with his allowance than you are with yours.
