I can see them doing a "Start a PC account for a 10 million sp bonus!" thing. PC players would still be behind most PS3 players in sp terms, but it would close the gap and incentivise account creation.
In such an unlikely scenario as a PC port announced in the near future, I expect the PS3 version would run alongisde a while until it was time to quietly retire it. |

All of this makes sense.
Hilmar have stated previously that CCP is going to focus more on something. Perhaps he meant New Eden?! WoD was shut down, and now a new brand in the EVE family :-)

Could this be the name of the next expansion for Dust? Is Uprising over?
For those who want to know what Dust means: It is a biblical reference as in "Ashes to ashes, Dust to Dust" all of the Evenames have some kind of biblical reference. 514? Possibly either another biblical reference or has some special meaning to one of the Devs.

They wouldn't necessarily have to have that button. They could have been developing parallel code all this time, or been working on it for a few months as a skunkworks... particularly given that Unreal is a cross-platform technology and so is fairly readily adaptable/port-able.
I remember when Apple moved to Intel-based chips, they revealed an instant non-Power PC chip OS X version that was feature-for-feature identical and it turned out that they had been developing the "Intel" version of OSX internally from the very first version onward. Of course, that would imply Hilmar has the same savvy as Jobs -- which is questionable. |

Remember all the talk and speculation when dust was in beta about contractual agreements with Sony holding CCP exclusive to the PS3? Some thought this was enough of a contractual protection to allow Sony to develop and grow Planetside 2 without directly competing with Dust.
What if CCP figured out a way to make a new game very much like Dust and release it on other platforms....like PC or PS4. Making a whole new game might relieve CCP of its Dust contractual restrictions. |

Would an RTS be overstretch territory for CCP, I wonder? I mean they just shut down WoD because it was unsustainable (don't believe this crap about it not being up to their standards - they just ran out of money), and they don't have the staff or resources to do much with Dust (hell, they don't even test their new builds internally).
Not that another game is impossible, but given that Dust is not a success and - as an unreleased product - Valkyrie is not earning anything, can CCP really afford the gamble of a completely new project on top? |

New theory: it's going to be like an RTS where players control drones and try to take over planetary or space facilities.
It will be fully integrated with the EVE universe. It will be an app you can play on mobile devices.
