Deployable stationary turret, cannot be picked back up or moved, too be used by whoever presses O. 1000 rounds, overheats at around 300, 600, and 900 if continuously fired.
Spawn linker, carry two, upon deploy of both A + B, teleport between A and B, if either A or B is destroyed or not deployed functions as a normal uplink instead.
Rocket propelled emp, works like a plasma cannon, one charge, fires a sticky projectile that destroys all electronics and shields in a 30 meter radius. Finally have an infantry counter to dropship deployed mass uplinks on top of buildings.

I think that equipment should be hackable. This would make Minjas indispensable in situations with a ton of equipment spam--they could get in unnoticed, hack all the equipment quickly, taking control of all the DUs and nanohives and turning the tide in that area.
I also think that "Destroyed Equipment" WPs should vary depending on the type of equipment. For example, destroying a nanohive should still net 10 WP, a RE should net 20 WP (hey--you're potentially saving a teammate's clone(s)), and DUs should be worth 25 or 30 WP (since a well-placed DU can easily change the course of a battle).

Please do this.
Have a heavy with it on hand, soaking the damage while his buddies lay waste. Plus, it's a natural anti-scout device.

Never played planetside 2, but ACR hold 84 rounds, so I was thinking if you were a medium, you could hack a point, set up a turret in the doorway and be able to return fire to a heavy for a while before having to resort to standard tactics. |

Useless? no... A 50% miss rate means 440 less damage, give or take. A 100% miss rate with 15sec cooldown would be broken. Keep hardeners too maybe for heavier DS, and Chaff for the scout types that can outrun. More vehicle roles please.
Yes to the forward turret mounted swarms though. Air to air combat needs more cool.

Neither? I would script it to run in a straight line, check directions a couple times etc before spluttering out. If set right it would be a distraction, if not it would be ignored due to being obvious. You could script it to react to enemies though, with random strafe patterns and gunfire... It might only take half a second to realise you and it aren't taking damage, but that's enough.

HAICD wrote:Motion sensors and claymores
I'm going to take your idea and run with it. Hope you don't mind.
An auto-firing Claymore equipped with a motion sensor. Anyone passing within 40 meters of the device in front of it on a 100 degree arc automatically sets off a timer on the claymore. The sensor is set to the middle of blast zone. The hit rate is dependent on the distance from claymore (closer to the claymore, tighter grouping, higher hit rate. Farther away, spread grouping, lower hit rate). It is able to do damage to multiple individuals dependent on location. It can be detonated by vehicles but will not do any damage. Friendlies are able to detonate claymore. Will do damage to friendlies in matches where friendly fire is allowed.
Optimal Range 25 meters Max Range 40 Meters at Militia (add 3 meters per level (Standard/Adv/Proto) Slot Type: Grenade or Equipment (not sure if it should be a replacement to grenades or a separate piece of equip) Total carried: 3. Setting new claymores do not remove the old ones (just like RE's).
Militia: Ball Bearings: 250 Each bearing damage: 8 HP CPU usage: 34 PG usage: 14 Skill Level: N/A
Standard: Ball bearings: 500 Each bearing damage: 9 HP CPU Usage: 31 PG usage: 12 Skill Level: 1
Advanced: Ball bearings: 750 Each bearing damage: 9 HP CPU Usage: 38 PG usage: 17 Skill Level: 3
Prototype: Ball bearings: 1000 Each Bearing Damage: 9 HP CPU Usage: 46 PG usage: 21 Skill level: 5
I know the damage on this seems excessive. Remember, however, that this is if every single ball bearing hits. The farther away you are, the less you are going to be hit. At the extreme range, only 2 or 3 of them may hit so we're talking like 30 damage. However, someone running right in front of it is going to catch a large number of them and it should basically shred him. If this is tactically placed and you are able to catch a squad of 3 or 4 guys trotting by all in the kill zone, it should be able to take out all of them. . If the CPU/PG needs to be upped, that is something to look at. because we are talking about a weapon that can do serious damage.
On the flip side, it can also be detonated by vehicles which it won't damage (if we want to add damage to vehicles, I'm sure that could be figured out.) It can also be detonated by friendlies so if you have a blueberry not paying attention, he'll set it off and the claymore is now useless. |

"ECM" deployable - disrupts red deployables/TacNet (HUD) Webifier Bubble Shield/Active shield Holographic decoy. Teleportation Uplinks ("Tech2" dropsuit equipment perhaps?) Deployable turrets (dunno whether should be automated - maybe RC?) 'Vampiric' repair tool.
This game seriously needs elaborate ewar - if only there was source material to draw on for these ideas...

Hence them doing it like they did with scouts and cloaks. not to mention that heavies have a ton of fitting they aren't using in most cases.

Plasma flamer heavy vs minmatar scouts (yes yes I know it's a dreadnought not a terminator)
Honestly I want nanite pumps and active shield boosters for the assault class. Nanite pumps would function kind of similarly to how the cloaking device does currently in its use, where you bring it out and hit a button and it runs either until cooldown or until you swap off of it, and while it's active it increases the amount of repair you get from localized repairers by say 300%. Active shield boosters would function more similarly to active scanners, in that you bring it out and hit a button which depletes its whole 'charge' and you need to wait for another one to build up - these would instantly give you say 30% of your shield HP and kickstart recharge.
Both of these would make assaults a lot more 'assaulty' without negating the need or desire for logi's or the defensive nature of classes like sentinels.

I've really wanted this one for a while now. I'd use it frequently.
Moorian Flav wrote:

I personally think that's a little too long. That's almost as long as their whole cloak time. Instead, I'd like to see something like the flux that doesn't completely disrupt their cloak. People who want to go that far are trying to destroy something that I think was actually fairly well balanced and the being able to shoot while still cloaked is a bug that CCP is aware of. Instead, I've love to see a grenade just like the flux that creates a massive 5 second bubble. Any scout that walks within or is already within that area is momentarily disrupted (they flash like they aren't cloaked or even flash red- which might be easier instead of textures).
I'd rather have a smaller burst surprise where the scout has to panic but isn't completely negated of their skill.

I just want to hack & recall red vehicles into my inventory. Once (if) we get a player market i would also like the ability to ransom these items back to the original owner or sell them in the market at large.
Also a grenade that errodes armor before shields. The polar opposite of a flux nade, if you will. Something to make armor tank suits sweat like shield tank suits do. This should not kill an armor tanked merc, but put them in the same boat as a fluxed cal heavy. |

Oohhh, interesting! There are two things that together do this job poorly now-proxies & the kill feed, but i would love to drop these. Would basic, adv & complex have unique decible detection levels, ranges, or both? |

In italicized reply to the replies to my original reply:
Quote: Deployable Scanner - Deployable equipment (like a hive) that continually scans a set area for limited amount of time. (30s-1m) - I would assume just like scanners, the different skill levels would have different precisions along with different amounts of scan times. Decloaking Pulse Generator - Deployable equipment that will take down cloaks in the immediate area for a limited amount of time. (30s-1m) - I would like to see this work where the level of the DPG only counters that level of cloak and below. For instance, standard DPG would knock out stand cloak, advanced DPG would knock out standard and advanced cloak, while proto DPG would knock out standard, advanced, and proto cloak. Therefore, if there was a Scout using proto cloak while within a standard DPG pulse radius, their scan would be unaffected.
