Spawn camping isn't the problem its matchmaking, theres a spawn protection thing but it seems to only work against shotguns, but not OHK weapons like the PLC.

Its called LOOKING AT THE MAP BEFORE YOU MASH AUTO DEPLOY. If you see your spawn with a bunch of blue dots bunched up and dissapearing, then don't deploy because you spawn in long enough to make the spawn stay in that spot, while another blue dot as dumb as you hits auto deploy, perpetuating the spawn camp and draining clones.
I'm in nyain san, I've gone 3 games IN A ROW where we went 50 to 0 because the idiots kept doing it. Ccps spawn system is garbage because enemies have to be within 10 feet or so of the spawn for it to change, meaning you actually have to stop spawning in if its getting camped.

This ^ is soo true! I have been on the receiving end of spawn camping many times. When it's obvious you will get killed by a firingsquad in 0.2 sec, I don't spawn in. If enough people do the same a new spawn point will form very quickly. However, the rest of the blueberries didn't seem to catch on, and happily depleted our clone reserve in 1.5 minutes of constant slaughter. |

As an Drop-up logi, i can tell you, that it is very difficult to lay uplinks in the "right" position. You have to lay them on to fronts, maybe three. Two as backup, two in a front position, and two on the flank of them, so that they can secure them. I also watch my spawm points the hole time, from point of view with an LR and ScR.
Spawm camping is possible, and makes the game more taktical, cause you have to change the way you attack/defend. And aslong as there are uplinks, spawn camping is allowed. If you talk to your team mates, they will tell you, how much people are on the actuell best uplink. Use the one behind, wich maybe takes longer spawntime, but its maybe safe. |

OP, I know what your saying, raged about this a few times. Problem is your trying to convince aholes to stop ahole behavior.
Not talking about ambush, because spawning in that is a crapshoot. The only time spawncamping is good tactic wise is if you need to clone the enemy out to win. Other than that, destroy the link or hack the point and move on with your victory.
That said, you can't expect aholes not be aholes, especially in new eden, and especially during 5X WP WEEK. If they get you once, shame on pthem; twice shame on us. Most of my deaths to spawn camping came from the muliple times I spawned in enraged, stupid, and looking for revenge. Oh, but when i did get a kill, it felt good.

I will admit to spawning in on crus being spawn camped when I knew it was, when people are spawn camping them they normally don't expect a Sentinel to pop out with a HMG that isn't a stupid blue berry. Sure I die but normally after I kill a few, just hard trying to pick out the Logi when you start off surrounded and gunning. Never bother spawning in an uplink that's being camped since there is no cover like what the cru provides.

I think it's annoying when there are other things to be doing (like objectives to defend), but other times it just helps the match to quicker.
When it happens to me, that is my cue to lay uplinks.

Yep the spawn system is about the worst I have ever encountered. It seems to go out of its way to either spawn you out in the open on a sniper or tank map or in front of the enemy and especially their tanks.
Every so often it will spawn you about as far away as possible from everything but making sure that their is an enemy tank patrolling the space between you and the battle.
Create a grid system and allow players to spawn into zones that are either contested, empty or controlled by your team. |

I noticed the enemy spawn camping a drop uplink that I had set near the frontline of battle the other day and immediately committed suicide and summarily dropped my uplinks upon animation. The self sacrifice probably saved at least 5-10 clones getting farmed.

I think spawn camping is a legitimate tactic, uplinks give you a tactical advantage and give your opponent the advantage when camped. I'm an uplink guy, if there is one role in the game I can say I do it is this, and I hate my links being camped, but it is fair to do it.
What I would like is cloaked uplinks though, so I can place them and some proto squad running non - stop vehicle scans and driving around at 100 mph, don't find them as soon as I drop them. TThere are few things as frustrating and annoying as getting spawn camped, but if it is happening in a match it is just a symptom of bad matchmaking. You don't get continually spawn camped in an even match. It's the sniffles, it might be what bothers you but it your allergies that are the problem.
Because, that's why.
