Assuming that it fires 12 projectiles:
- Lower damage by at least 30% for both shotguns
- Increase optimal range to 6 m
- Lower clip size to 6

People aren't mad that shotguns are killing them, they're mad that they're being killed by invisible enemies before the decloak. Leave the shotguns alone. |

Shotguns are not fine. They are in a serious need of a buff. The only reason they have the illusion of preforming well is because of the cloak delay not being long enough.

I did fine with a dren before the cloaks but have bet used them since 1.8. Unless they nerfed them in 1.8 is say they're fine. |

Lol? Shotguns need a BUFF, not a nerf. The Scouts too low profile + weak Scanners are the problem. Use a shotgun without stealth and try to go 30-0, not happening against good enemies.
As of right now, to scan Scouts - for your squad. Passive scans are NOT shared- you have to take ridiculous measures. My Scout finding suit is not cheap, plus it takes me out of combat. |

I agree with the others, it's not the weapon, it's the OP platform they are deployed on.
The scanning dB system needs to be looked at and reworked.

Want to fight a Gal Scout get a Cal Scout... Want to find a Scout ?! Use a Gal Logi with proper modules... It's a beast. But if you run around alone looking for scouts, it wouldn't matter what you are wearing and what you are running... My cal scout costs me 186k... So if you wanna find me and take me down, i'd expect you to put in the effort... |

Shotguns are not the problem. Firing with zero delay after decloaking is the problem.

If you've not put any SP into shotguns then there hasn't been a change. But the damage between each tier of shotgun isn't enough to change the number of shots to kill someone. The change of Proficiency from 3% bonus to rate of fire, to 3% damage to shields has been a direct nerf. The damage from proficiency is not enough to change the number of shots again which means that any SP invested in Shotgun Proficiency is a complete waste.

We still have hit detection issues with shotguns. The LAST thing we need is a damage nerf to them. About 15% of the time you can fire and do no damage at all.

So a STD shotgun would do 336 damage while a PRO would do 369. Asuming someone is in a 1000 armor heavy suit while having no shields it would take roughly three shots, which it already usually does considering only about 3/4ths the pellets hit.
I'm not entirely against this, but I'd take a 10% RoF buff for a 30% damage cut if the higher end shotguns were worth it.

I believe that was intended as written by CCP, and the last bug with remote explosive was the detonate after kill, that bug has been fixed.
