I believe the Large blaster is the source of much AV vs Vehicles imbalance. It's a giant gun that insta blaps infantry, who in comparison can relatively only do bug bites. Using missiles or even rails while fighting infantry, and I feel that while I am powerful, I am not overly so.
When I'm using either of those, I feel like AV is actually a threat.
So, here are my proposed changes to the large blaster:
Reduce Large Blaster ROF by 50% <--- Harder to hit infantry Increase damage by 100% <--- Keep the DPS against vehicles the same Reduce efficiency against infantry to 35% <--- You will see why below
Old damage: 136.5 New Damage: 273 <--- That is why New Damage against infantry: 95.55
Old ROF: 428.5 New ROF: 214.2 <--- BF 2142, I miss you :(
Old DPS: 974.8 New DPS: 974.61 New DPS against infantry: 341.1
My intentions is to have a fun game for everyone.
If I seem to be biased, I have good hard data to back it up.

I believe damage should be the same when its a larger weapon firing upon a lower armored object.
For me at least, I can only hit infantry because of the RoF. Unless they are standing still a large majority of my shots miss because the aiming is either too precise or just off on the Large Blaster.
IF you were to do anything Reduce the RoF first then go onto your reduced damage against infantry.

IF you were to do anything Reduce the RoF first then go onto your reduced damage against infantry. Kirk. Can you imagine 273 damage per shot? Some suits don't even have that much HP.

Forget the commoners but frankly they are correct, the vast majority of DUST players are quite stupid

How bout we just add the pilot suits in and if you dont have a pilot suit on when you jump into you tank to drive it you only get 50 of everything your tank gets. like only 50% fire rate / hp / dmg so on ... and if you have a the drop suit you get the full 100% of your tank.
this way you need to SKILL INTO THE TANKS not just run off buy mlt and that's that.

That just pushes the gap between newberries and veterans too much. Unless basic suits gave 80%, advanced 90% and proto pushed it to 100%, it would be too much.

The gap is already damn small
Even my skills mean very little tbh when half the time basic mods are as good as proto and even the skills i do have offer nothing
Vehicles need a complete overhaul since we have less skills/mods/vehicles/variety and playstyles |

I like the idea of decreasing the ROF and increasing the damage per shot.And maybe decreasing the accuracy of the large blaster. What i dont like is the reduced efficiency of the same round aggainst infantry.Its just unreal.Why should the same round do different damage aggainst infantry and vehicles?Just to make the life of the infantry guy easier?Its a tank with a huge powerful cannon that does a lot of damage.We got to deal with that.
I don't need a pilot suit.I made my own without skill bonuses :(
