Everyone is bitching that DNS did it, but how would you have done it?
Would you never have the ambition?
Would you have blued 50 corps instead of NF alliance and AE.?
Seems they acomplished the most with the least.
What credible realistic way would you have preferred them to take 100%?

The truth is that many of the corps hating on us would have done the same and want to do the same.
Would you believe me if I told you that when Eon left PC that the people who participated in FEC actually had plans to become to new EoN? All but one group failed of course
I was there when FEC was forming and during the whole slaughter of FEC. Believe what you want everyone but the truth is that many of the people nagging at us in the war room wanted to become the new EoN right after FEC but failed.
For example, the last corporation I was in tried to blue up all the strong corps and become the new EoN but internal problems ended it.
Never believe any of those who bash DNS saying "there are evil" because those that point the fingers would do the same the first chance they get. Funny thing is some of the CEOs of the corp members yelling at DNS in here are those that tried to become the new EoN. Yet they say we are evil lolololololol
Evil only because you didn't become the new power house like you wanted.

I agree. A lot of people are greedy and want it all without reason. A lot of people would jump at the chance to do the same. I can think of a couple of people off the top of my head that I've personally talked to who would shoot me in the back if it meant getting them to control clone-farming in Molden Heath. Some of them were funding my corp in the FEC...
But regardless of all of that. Not everyone's like that. I personally couldn't care enough to want to hold the whole region right now. The most I ever wanted to do was police it to avoid monopolization in it's current form because, hey, this is the only region we got right now. There are several others who would more than likely do the same.
And then there's those who would just protect their neck. I kinda cringe at the thought that I know such people...

Not saying that changes do not need to be made. I just think that me personally would like others to enjoy the game as well. As for people remembering me, I don't need that. The people that know, know me and that's all there is to it.

As an ex-director of ANON, I know all of the people who were involved in those meetings about setting up the new EON.
Pradox... 0uter.Heaven... Valor Coalition... What was your name for the alliance Mike Ruan? Ascension? You even made it, remember? Ascension Alliance alliance... triple A. ANON voted not to join because we got tired of doing all of your damn PCs for you... grow up. If you're in any of those corps, you have no right to complain about DNS as your leaders tried to do the very same... but those whose shoulders y'all stood on didn't want to take it anymore.

The players that are pushing this forward are more concerned with their inflated egos than anything else, yet they have the gall to frame it as a philanthropic campaign. It isn't, CCP has a roadmap, they don't need a bunch of detours because a few abusive backseat drivers are tearing up the car until they get their way. How about we continue with that analogy? We're in Nashville and we need to stop in Atlanta on our way to Miami, but these guys want to go to Orlando NOW, so now CCP has to make a huge detour to run through Orlando before the the guys in the backseat tear the car up any worse, then they have to head all the way back to Atlanta again. Regardless of what happens, it's a long trip, so that car is going to be screwed up by the time they get there, no matter what. For the non-Americans/geographically challanged: the trip in question (all the cities I mentioned are clearly labeled)
I don't care whether I am known in the future of Dust, I just want that future to be a reality. In that future, I will not need to live on in memory, because I am working for a Dust that I will be a presence in actuality. What good is it to be remembered if the medium for your success is only a memory as well?
I cannot be grouped in with any of the previous wannabe superpowers, so don't try to pull that on me. I entered into Dust already under the tag of PRO, helped in the eventual formation of today's Molon Labe, we started out in the League of Infamy after being repeatedly impressed by Kujo's apparent upstanding nature (how wrong we were...), as LoI slowly began to crumble we decided on moving to the slightly more promising ROFL, over time ROFL was overcome by widespread inactivity and we decided to join our consistently good ally STB in Public Disorder, finally PD was merged into General Tso's to give my corporation's current standing in Dust. |

If you are talking about conquering all MH, they just did what everyone else would have done in their place.
If you are talking about bluing up the competition, it was an inevitable conclusion with the current mechanics. Again, if it wasn't them doing it, it would have been someone else.

Nope, never would want to hold all of Molden Heath or be apart of an alliance doing so. It's just unnecessary and horrible for the game. ISK doesn't mean anything to me, as long as I can afford my suits for PC, which isn't much.
I just want good quality fights, with a legit corp that's built something and has loyal players, those fights mean a lot. PC was fun last summer, fighting a full 16 of a corp, now its just so stale fighting the same people.
245 Districts is a lot of districts, there's no need to own more than 5% of MH.
But thats just my opinion on the game. With our playerbase and mentality of the games more skilled players, nothing will ever change, no matter what CCP does.

What a moron. Cap Aq joined after 1.7, after the end of the winter war.
DDB was stronger BEFORE 1.7 but was worthless after.
Leave it to Radar to call someone else out when he doesn't have the facts straight.
And it was a terrible judge of balance. During the winter war anon automatically crumbled and it was DDB (a weaker opponent than ANON when comparing their primes) AE, and NS's small contribution vs VC, OH, and PX1.

Regardless of what happens, it's a long trip, so that car is going to be screwed up by the time they get there, no matter what. For the non-Americans/geographically challanged: the trip in question (all the cities I mentioned are clearly labeled) I don't care whether I am known in the future of Dust, I just want that future to be a reality.

ETA: Oh... Don't forget Phoenix Federation! They got added in at the last minute because Mike liked them... then they failcascaded into whatever you want to call them now. Phoenix Fed lite? Whatever... Your corp is just as tainted, but unlike Icarus, you never got off the ground before your wings melted. As a director of ANON you apparently didn't know ****. The alliance was formed after FEC as a counterbalance to EON we had been working together unofficially for about 2 weeks. 0.H created it. We brought in Paradox, Phoenix Fed, past ally Valor Coalition, and after fighting ANON in a PC we extended an offer to you. We talked with AE an flirted back and forth. They brought in Nyain San. After discussions we decided on the name Ascension. Phoenix Fed created the alliance and the idiot called it Ascension Alliance. Internal Problems with Phoenix fed led us to remove them from the eventual alliance. Shortly After EON had crumbled and there was no longer a need to counterbalance with another Alliance. So AE after having made good relations with Anon created Renegade with AE,Anon, and Nyain San. We made Proficiency V with VC, Paradox, and 0.H. Good balance in my eyes. Renegade bloated adding 2 more corps DDB and Cap Ac. Then on the eve of 1.7 war broke out. Learn your history if you are going to speak demons.

Here we go again. Radar denies up and down the river he didn't backstab EoN. or anything of the sort, and then in another thread (quoted above) readily states this was in fact the case.

What a moron. Cap Aq joined after 1.7, after the end of the winter war.
My bad forgot Cap Aq wasn't in Renegade till after. Regardless of corps our war had nothing to do with who had more or better corps. The war jump started Dust again and was one of the longest lasting. Burnout hit us before it hit them. |
