I was there when FEC was forming and during the whole slaughter of FEC. Believe what you want everyone but the truth is that many of the people nagging at us in the war room wanted to become the new EoN right after FEC but failed.

For example, the last corporation I was in tried to blue up all the strong corps and become the new EoN but internal problems ended it.

After discussions we decided on the name Ascension. Phoenix Fed created the alliance and the idiot called it Ascension Alliance. Internal Problems with Phoenix fed led us to remove them from the eventual alliance.

Shortly After EON had crumbled and there was no longer a need to counterbalance with another Alliance. So AE after having made good relations with Anon created Renegade with AE,Anon, and Nyain San. We made Proficiency V with VC, Paradox, and 0.H. Good balance in my eyes. Renegade bloated adding 2 more corps DDB and Cap Ac. Then on the eve of 1.7 war broke out.

This attitude is the problem. The players that are pushing this forward are more concerned with their inflated egos than anything else, yet they have the gall to frame it as a philanthropic campaign. It isn't, CCP has a roadmap, they don't need a bunch of detours because a few abusive backseat drivers are tearing up the car until they get their way. How about we continue with that analogy? We're in Nashville and we need to stop in Atlanta on our way to Miami, but these guys want to go to Orlando NOW, so now CCP has to make a huge detour to run through Orlando before the the guys in the backseat tear the car up any worse, then they have to head all the way back to Atlanta again. Regardless of what happens, it's a long trip, so that car is going to be screwed up by the time they get there, no matter what.
