Either way, I'm planning on spending 150 million isk on my favorite proto fits tonight. Should end up with just under 1000 of the ones I regularly run, with 160 million left in the bank.
Give the players a wallet reset, give us a full asset refund while you're at it. There will always be players with millions more ISK than you.
Consider this, I have 310 million ISK sitting in my wallet, 150 mill of that from farming pubs in STD and ADV gear. In the grand scheme of things among the "Rich" players I'm a broke ass chump.
I am here to ask you one question, and one question only: EXPLOSIONS?

CCP has ways of tracking the origin of ISK. Have them determine the value of all ISK generated in the last six months before the player-market goes live. Cut those values by 85%. I'm all for that.
But a full ISK wipe: No. There are people who legitimately earned their ISK who aren't in PC corps. Don't punish them because some other players are being douche-canoes.

Hell, I just purchased 50 re-stocks of my Maddy build out of boredom. If ISK was going to be reset, I'd probably purchase a couple hundred more.
A total economic reset would fix this nicely.
Everyone keeps their skill points though give everyone a clean economic slate with a reasonable amount of Isk (100m?) for all active players.

Step 2: Open ISK transfer from Eve to Dust.
Step 3: Watch how nothing has changed at all.
I haven't looked at my wallet in a while so I really don't care, but I don't think resetting the ISK accounts is going to help anyone. I think the actual problem lies in the fact that the proverbial pool doesn't have a shallow end for starters to learn how to swim. Maybe more to the point the supposedly shallow end actually has the sharks in it. |

Also, if the amount of isk needs to be reduced from the economy, take away the passive generated isk from PC, don't punish everyone else for other players actions. Or CCP's broken game mode, for that matter included...

No. Some of have abused our mechanics to gain the isk others have rightfully earned it. The entire community should not be punished because of those that are being abusive.
If you lived in a community with 10 murders out of 1000 innocents it would be unfair and unethical to put the whole 1000 in prison just because of 10 rotten human beings.

PVE will eventually fulfill another ISK Faucet.
Resets sure sound like nerfing and I hate nerfing. So no. PC needs major fixing. A temporary stop-gap would be severally reducing the resale value of biomass. If Dust Charts is correct there is 10.7 billion ISK in Clone-Futures right now. Passive ISK should never generate that kind of wealth.

I'm not going to get involved with the debate, but you may need to do some serious fact-checking.
Arkena already had an extreme amount of wealth back when he was in Turlyon 514, which was a Gallente FW corp; and he didn't participate i PC at that time.
Also, FA (afaik) only offers a 2m ISK weekly paycheck. Running Ambush in BPOs or STD fits could net you that in only an hour.

Then subtracting the ISK earned from PC won't effect Arkena at all! Excellent news!  Any ISK earned from FW, public contracts, or CCP events can be kept. Nuke every last 0.01 ISK from PC into the ground.

We do not need an isk wipe.
The wealth imbalance in DUST is far less than what EVE experiences (top have trillions, avg player few hundred million) and It does not hurt them greatly. What needs to happen is some balance work done on incomes to even things out a bit.
Also, I haven't seen anyone suggest this yet, but there might be a very good reason to WANT that isk in our economy. In EVE, ISK is power. Just equate those two in your head. At some point down the road, the EVE-DUST link will really open up, letting ISK and goods flow each direction. When that happens, the more ISK the DUST community has, the stronger our position will be. Food for thought...
