I think Plasma Mortar and Scrambler Lance were already confirmed to be heavy weapons.
Precision Rifle is Minmatar Sniper Rifle.
And would you please post those stats for the rocket launcher?

and have stats for both of those for both the small and large versions

So i was digging around comparing the 1.7 SDE to the 1.8 sde and for once I'm first to news! They were rumors but the Plasma Morter and Scrambler Lance were added in the 1. 8 sde so its not old news!

Khanid Innovation is an Amarr-related corp (former part of the Empire but split, though growing closer again in recent times) that uses missiles and rockets. Vengeance is a punisher hull with rocket bonuses instead of lasers, Sacrilege is a maller hull with heavy assault missile bonuses instead of lasers, etc.
All Amarr Dropsuits to lvl 5.

HMG already has the short-range bruiser thing covered. It's been that way for all of DUST. There will only be four Heavy weapons, they should each do something very, very different.

I hope the scrambler lance is like a giant light saber. Sort of a short-range (<20m) version of the laser rifle.
I also hope that, unlike some have suggested, it's not a CQC anti-vehicle weapon. A heavy weapon at such a short range would need to do truly massive damage to be able to impact a vehicle before it rolls away. Can you imagine a 3000 damage close-range attack against infantry? Unless it comes with some way to attach yourself to the vehicle and tear it apart over time. Which would be awesome: a tanker would need help or would need to get out of his tank to kill the marauder. If you were in FW or PC, you would specifically need infantry help so they wouldn't destroy your tank in the process.

First of all Atiim you are so far from accurate. Nothing about gallente is alpha at all. They get damage bonuses and hybrid bonuses. Hybrids are the DPS platform with reasonable range bands and medium dropoffs. Tracking and DPS is the gallente forte while engagement envelope with hybrids and missiles is caldari's forte. Both of them get Hybrids of each type equally, the caldari just get range bonuses and gallente get damage bonuses thus they are shorter range.
To everyone else CCP most likely means Scrambler Lance as in Lance weaponry as a laser beam or "lance." The idea being an energy beam is used to "lance" the enemy. I would picture it as a charge up straight laser shot AV. Basically just a big scrambler rifle that likely needs to charge before shooting.
The mass driver is almost certainly not the launcher for the minmatar instead it is likely their second light weapon option like the laser rifle is to amarr. We'll likely see gallente rail rifle skins and caldari ARs at some point with amarr having laser and scram, and minmatar having CR and mass driver.
Those turrets sound awesome though the pulse laser sounds like a lot of fun.
Last thing, think the plasma mortar is a true mortar or more of a cross between the PLC and mass driver but heavier? |

I agree, though, that it does cause problems in that both sniper-type weapons are going to be "more of the same"--namely, they'll both be long range, bonus-damage-to-armor rifles. I don't expect Gallente will get ANY long-range-flavored weapon, but the new sniper rifle ought to have been a laser weapon at least; give us some sniper-weapon that does bonus damage to shields.
I'm sure once even more weapons are introduced and fleshed out we'll see hybrids merged into one category and Gal/Cal bonuses updated to reflect this. Caldari will likely receive bonuses to hybrids' range or something, bonus to missiles, shield bonuses, etc., while Gallente will likely get bonus to hybrid damage (holy crap RR damage!), rate of fire, or similar.
Sort of the great thing, though, is that there's PLENTY left to add, iterate and introduce to the universe, and it's only just beginning.
edit: The Plasma mortar sounds interesting, but only interesting. My fear is that it'll be more like the Plasma Cannon than a true heavy weapon, and that weapon is questionable (at best) when used in the most ideal conditions. The PC has terrible rate of fire, reload time, arc gimmick of the bullet, reticle that doesn't update or add to the aiming experience, etc. MANY problems remain with it, and I'd really rather it be fixed to be an effective weapon (with little gimmick qualities) over using the gimmick mechanics in a new Plasma Mortar.
If the rocket launcher is a "true" rocket launcher, then the PC will be marginalized into NOBODY using it, much more so than HARDLY ANYONE using it currently.

Gallente and Long Range Weaponry is an oxymoron. Their Combat Philosophy is short-range, high alpha. First of all Atiim you are so far from accurate. Nothing about gallente is alpha at all. They get damage bonuses and hybrid bonuses. Hybrids are the DPS platform with reasonable range bands and medium dropoffs. Tracking and DPS is the gallente forte while engagement envelope with hybrids and missiles is caldari's forte. Both of them get Hybrids of each type equally, the caldari just get range bonuses and gallente get damage bonuses thus they are shorter range. To everyone else CCP most likely means Scrambler Lance as in Lance weaponry as a laser beam or "lance." The idea being an energy beam is used to "lance" the enemy. I would picture it as a charge up straight laser shot AV. Basically just a big scrambler rifle that likely needs to charge before shooting. The mass driver is almost certainly not the launcher for the minmatar instead it is likely their second light weapon option like the laser rifle is to amarr. We'll likely see gallente rail rifle skins and caldari ARs at some point with amarr having laser and scram, and minmatar having CR and mass driver. Those turrets sound awesome though the pulse laser sounds like a lot of fun. Last thing, think the plasma mortar is a true mortar or more of a cross between the PLC and mass driver but heavier?
That isnt exactly true... you can fit up a pretty high alpha Talos sniper. But yes, Gal is more known for brawlers or drone boats.
