Why are gallente getting a mortar? Give that to minmatar and give us the rifle. Gallente use rails for long range and blasters at short or drones. We need bonuses to rails or our own kong range weapons. Not these underpowered launcher weapons.

Honestly? Because giving the Gallente a blaster weapon would be boring.
HMG already has the short-range bruiser thing covered. It's been that way for all of DUST. There will only be four Heavy weapons, they should each do something very, very different.
If the Plasma Mortar is anything remotely like the mortar gun in Gears of War, I'm going to be all over that thing.
Scramber Lance just has me scratching my head though... it sounds like this more than anything.

Some people thought it sounded too silly and immediately labeled it as trolling and spread it through the forums.

Um no they use rails and blasters interchangeably. Gallente ships don't have blaster ONLY bonuses.
We use rails for ranged combat.

I would be surprised if this wasn't Minmatar. The MD is hardly comparable to swarms and PC.

EDIT: After reviewing SDE Data the Scrambler Lance and Plasma Mortar were added with the 1.8 SDE so yes these aren't old news, the names are basically prepared
they have names, only one more year til they will have concept art. Then after only another 8months comes a confirmation they might be released soon.
