Competition between Heavies and Scouts is great right now and a 20% hit to heavy eHP could make that go away. A sub 10K ISK Scout can obliterate a very expensive PRO heavy before the big guy gets turned around, but if the heavy sees the scout first in close quarters its over for the skinny. Why mess with that? I already feel bad (not really) when I take an expensive suit down.
Not to mention the heavys that are on our team. They're great for standing behind. |

Heavies are, well, heavy. I don't think they are broken (exception Gal Sent. I'll explain in a moment.) I think they are pretty well-balanced.
The exception is Gal Sent. Saw one yesterday with 1200 armour.
I don't need luck, I have ammo.

I don't really care either way.
Except if heavies DO get a 20% HP nerf, then I might be inclined to get NK Prof 4 and use an enhanced sidearm damage mod since I'll be able to OHK them with a single charged swipe.
So I suppose it'd be better if they weren't nerfed as I wouldn't be tempted to spend the SP. |

Well before playing 1.8 I thought heavies deserved an ehp nerf, now.... Let them only use heavy weapons and slow their rotation speed and they are fine. |

give my heavy active hardners then well talk about ehp nerf Because every heavy, every logi, every assault in every match still plays like a rambo Lone Wolf, and it is really easy for scouts to kill Lone wolves. Start playing as you re supposed to do, in a team, and a lot of scouts will die |

I think they could do with a buff, a single charge from my ishikone knives is usually enough to down all but the most tanked heavy suits. Usually because I am cloaked and wait for them to pass me first . I do see how the assault or logi class would have trouble killing anything now anyways (considering that balac's gar-21 does as much as the old basic ar now).
Over all, I like 1.8. It got me to actually think about skilling into a gun that isn't a rifle. (Shotty for the win!)

The heavy does not need a ehp nerf. I use a scout, a heavy, and a logi. What needs to be looked at is the pg/cpu. I love my gall heavy. Though I am rather confused by something. I can fit all ADVANCED gear on a standard. I can fit ANYTHING on the proto. Both of these still have room to spare on both cpu and pg.
The turn speeds may need a look at also. I don't notice a change when running all complex plates. Which I only do to guard tight area objectives. Normally I run All reps. That extra movement is killer! But my rotation is ,or ar least, feels the same.
Perhaps on heavies stacking all plates could have more of an effect. This would only effect rotation. Every 3% movement penalty adds 1% extra movement penalty to rotation. So its 3% to run/walk and 4% to rotation. There an ehp nerf without an ehp nerf.

Heavies aren't OP, although i die super fast by HMGs i don't think a nerf is required.

I agree, as they stand now heavies are well balanced. Scouts are a little OP, but that is another matter. Just buff the mediums by a touch and bring them up with everyone else. |

I would let them keep their high hp, if they had their turn speed reduced like it used to be. That's the best way to balance them. Hit them from behind or die.

Reducing the health on a infantry tank based class... Before even talking about their DPS output... is short sighted and rash.
Specially in increments as big as 20%
DPS or turn speed caps should be talked about before we even think about touching their health. |

that suit might seem good but he is weak to other things. 1# he wont last long in any sustained shootout as he has jimped his armor regen. best thing to do is hit him from a distance and just pluck his health down. or if your a shotgun scout wait till he is distracted drop a re at his feet (that much armor means he is to slow to get away) run out of range of your re and detonate it. Also a sniper rifle on his flank will merc him hard if your at around 60m or more and if you are flanking or hitting him from behind he wont figure it out till its too late. and if the does and goes to hide, cloak and press him down with grenades (again he is too slow to avoid them) or MD

but IMHO heavy's need to be tweaked a bit
my problem with them may be the hmg or the ehp
anyways the hmg is killing at 40+ meters (std not assault)
and yesteday I seen heavy after heavy running around with zero logi support and wrecking everything in their path
this IMO is not right, the heavy should need logi support to do this
