Cloaking isn't to bad if your paying attention, for starters nobody is 100% cloaked, and if you run you are very visible.
What we need is cloakers to be uncloaked when damaged, but at the same time the AA and red dot when aiming at a cloaked target needs to go.

That's not fair at all. Are you even a heavy?
Hiding behind walls and objects is all we have. If we can't turn fast enough to kill a cloaked scout, you're taking away our only advantage. And it would completely ruin the Minmatar heavy.

Wether its necessary or not, they shouldn't do it by 20%, 10% at most, anyless and heavy suits would be marginalised again. CCP need to think carefully before they apply a nerf to heavy suits.

Cloaking is a bigger issue by far ..but interesting concept, so keep it ! Just give the cloaking device some sort of a sound when running it so you can at least hear them coming lol......The shotgun is the problem. I have two different race proto heavies ..I hardly use them cause i just die to much in them ...nerving heavy is beyond CRAZY!!!

In head-to-head fights, bigger is supposed to be better. There is not supposed to be a balance here. Bigger IS better, period. If it wasn't, there would be no reason for bigger to exist in the first place.
To get around this, you apply the use of personal intelligence to create a situation that is more favorable for lighter frames. A lighter frame can move faster, which gives it the ability to flank when a bigger foe is distracted, or seek high ground where the larger foe simply cannot follow or return fire effectively.
Every suit has its strength. The heavy suit is the king of direct combat, and it should never be balanced in this regard. It is meant to dominate, and it should dominate. If you want to kill a heavy, you already have all of the tools necessary at your disposal. There is no need to nerf it. |

I re-read it and understood it a few minutes ago. You want them to be OP.
But there's a limit. When my Sentinel ak.0 is still dying to other sentinel races with HMGs, even though it has a 15% projectile resistance, there is a problem.

Such backwards concept for a heavy in terms of a fix it's mind boggling... If you nerf HMG rather than suit you are only hurting HMG heavies and giving the green light to rifle heavies. I can promise you there'd be RR and CR heavies everywhere. We had a high HP suit, low DPS HMG for months and the result was that the HMG went almost extinct. Nerfing the suit is the right way to go, I'm not sure if 20% is the right number though, maybe 10 or 15 would be better. Don't see how high DPS is a backwards concept for the heavy, the whole point of the suit is to carry a damn minigun. I don't think Sentinel's with Rifles can compete with rifle specialists now. Commando's with that 10% damage buff and decent health, destroy fake heavies... HMG DPS wasn't low when fully applied.. But the problem with the HMG wasn't it's stats... IT was that literally the HMG bullet spread was a Pixel... A singular Pixel.. There are 50 posts on it and Youtube vids documenting it. Once that got hotfixed the HMG worked. Part of the HMG DPS was missing. If it was all passing through the center dot the pen & paper damage values would have been fully applied. Anyone who could aim center-of-mass at that point would have wrecked everything inside the optimal. Many of us are familiar with the kind of hip fire DPS an AR or SMG can do with dispersion. Just imagine even more damage with pin-point accuracy. There wouldn't have been the migration to Light Weapons since it was clear the AR had a superior DPS inside 20 meters.

I think the biggest problem right now, is that the mediums have to adapt to the new situation!
They used to rush everywhere they went, without too much concerns about heavies even on their hometurf (closed quarter). Now, that the mediums get owned if they rush in like kamikazes, they complain, instead of taking a coordinated more careful aproach. If you soften heavies with nades and MD's and rush them from several angles, you will prevail, even with an assault suit. There might be casualties, but it's not a picnick out there anymore even for you assault bro's.

3 Heavies and 3 Logi will always lose to 8 Heavies, they have strength in numbers. If you're using an ak.0 yourself, campaigning for a nerf will make it even harder for you.
The ak.0's 15% resist to projectiles is countered by the HMG proficiency's 15% boost to damage vs. armour. Couple that with multiple HMG's firing and those 3 Heavies you had will be overwhelmed. Throw in reps, Nanohives and the fact that they literally doubled up on each of you, of course their Heavies were going to steamroll you.

Totally disagree.
By changing the Sentinels piddly 1.7 bonuses to affect EHP, and then reducing total HP by a greater amount than the resists, CCP is essentially stripping Sentinel of its bonuses.
It's like going into work and having your boss say:
"Good work! We're making a change around here and now we'll be paying out bonus checks up to 15% of your pay!
Oh, and by the way, we'll be cutting your base pay by 20% at the same time."
It's complete ******* stupidity. I'd rather have my underwhelming reload bonus and totally useless overheat damage bonus back. This is exactly the kind of thoughtless nerfbat wielding by CCP that I feared would happen.

if your squad managed to get ambushed by 8 heavies then clearly your "corp" sucks. very experienced and very good??? after what you said about being ambushed by those 8 heavies? im really doubting that very experience and very good part.

Between the hit detection and the way CCP Updates the Server/Client.. It isn't the case.
Most people on the AR left their Sharpshooter on the AR at 1 so they had a more forgiving spread on the AR.
People only started getting sharpshooter when CCP patched DUST to allow the bullets to have infinite travel but fall off damage then people started getting sharpshooter to keep that pin point better at medium-long range engagements.
There were plenty of People in this corporation for example who have run Heavy exclusively for a year... Who was able to put the old Bullet spread to deadly use..
But now with a generalized circle and the way the spread reacts, its near impossible to miss what that giant circle reitcule is on... |
