The Boeng 714 is about the same size as a Rifter (APROX 70 m long, 60 m wide, 20 m tall; or 229 ft long, 196 ft wide, 60 ft tall).
Assuming that the drones are 1/8 of the size, that puts them at about 8.5 m x 7.5 m x 2.5 m. (27 ft x 24 ft x 8 ft)
For scale, the average hue-man is 1.8 m tall.
This guy (the tallest person EVER) reached 2.72 m (8 ft, 11.1 in)
They have a nice height, but...
Those are some pretty wide hallways... unless the width is because the tentacles are all facing horizontally, which would bring the length down to 5m, and the width down to 4m (still a bit cramped though, a good hotel hallway can be between 2.5 and 3.5m in width).

There are also worker drones that are far smaller. Capable of fitting in a humans chest. Also they can easily make drones that are better suited to boarding a ship. Also there could be no drones on this mission at all but the ones we bring. |

So we start this meal of awful with a fear appetizer by flying close enough to a bunch of very unfriendly drones that they could almost smell us.
Followed by the main ass kick menu of choice of getting in a very hentai-ish situation with a bunch of on board security drones a few meters taller than we are, having a very heated discussion with the local drug dealer pirate thugs with our guns, getting lost forever in this maze like ship or nothing at all except our own paranoia and fears.
And as the dessert do we have that instable wormhole which could trap us forever in an unknown corner of space.
I am confident that this was a good contract choice. |

think of them as the drone's we'd never want to meet. so far we only have what i "Gathered". There may be more drones of varying lengths and sizes.

I think that he was using Depleted Uranium rounds (which are radioactive).
As for the using radiation as a marker, I'm not sure. There's lots of radiation-emitting cosmic anomalies in W-space, which may affect the viability of such a technique. Additionally, there may be radioactive material on the vessel itself.
We all have personal computers, we could use those as a map (it would tell us where we ourselves have been, and also give data gathered from other people and drones if said data can be received).
Also, we could just shoot a wall 3 times, making a triangle pointing in some direction.

The inside of the ship is not going to be affected by outside radiation I mean who would build a ship that could not protect from cosmic radiation?
And the personal computer won't work because of the signal. But the radioactive material could force us to use another idea of finding our way that is true.
Still do we just need something that is above the sorrounding radiation, something that is strong enough to give the counter a spike. Like radioactive tracers that they use in modern medicine but in bigger quantities.
And the 3 shoots are to obvious and could also happen during a shoot out which would make everything more confusing. |

I meant using the personal computers to make an "offline" map. Which can be done.

Let me make that clear with what I meant with the personal computer. You will have a map of all the places you have seen, but not of the places the others have seen because we can't transfer our information because of the signal.
Which means that you have a map but you still don't know where the others are. |

Yeah, basically.
I was under the assumption that we could download the map of what we have onto our suit computer; and we could add to it automatically as we explore (like any free roam RPG, like Oblivion or Skyrim).
Additionally, the command ship has very powerful transmitters, so they could send a strong signal to us with some extra telemetry and stuff.
Since the command ship also presumably has some danmm good scanners, we should be able to track each other

If those scanners are so good then why do we even need the map from the ship. Unless it means that when we use those scanners that the drones notices the command ship under the cloak which makes the scanners dangerous to use. |

So the scout recon ship is capable of scanning without alerting drones, and can send out probes for better scanning of certain areas, but it is made to scan things the size of ships. Inside the ship we will be sending out active scanner drones that will map out the area, provide us with intel and all that fun stuff. The map will be updated as we explore with the support team providing us with info on what our scanner drones find. No need to physically mark our way. |

Not a problem ask questions and I'll answer them if I can or we will figure it out as a group. As far as extra ammo the combat drones that will be taking will have extra ammo for us but what I would like to try to do is set up rally points with ammo caches to fall back to as we move deeper into the ship. And give us a point to regroup. |
