CCP make it so that we get the prototype AUR version of the sidearm as well, just SP for the sidearm event doesn't seem much. Especially with the commando event, mostly everyone would be using dual light weapons in commando suits.

To help everyone get the ball rolling, we're going to be giving anyone that has been playing in the last month 5 copies of each Standard 'Neo' Commando dropsuit. These dropsuits require no skills to use, so there's no excuse for not using them to rack up some kills during the event!

I'm really enjoying the new MagSec but I think I'll be catching most of my bonus SP from running commando suits.
Really wish the MagSec had a similar holo sight as the SMG...my aim is a bit sketch with the post sight as you push out to optimal range.

Didn't your CEO say something against simply adding stuff to the game? Something about if it is just added without someone creating or earning it in someway, it feels fake? And thus you cannot create virtual worlds more meaningful than real life?

That was a pleasant surprise this morning.
However, I have two comments to make on this:
1. if you really want people using commando, just make them the same tank as heavies. To me, this makes sense.
The weight and power draw of one "Heavy" weapon, should be about equal to 2 'light' ones.
I dont use commando, because it doesnt have enough tank.
2. I am getting a bit annoyed with the "free aurum" bonus items.. because they almost always end up with me accidentally chewing into my aurum balance, when I am looking to do a quick restock of a fit in the field!!
IMO, there needs to be a game option for, "Never auto-restock aurum items in the field".
Particulary if you already HAVE THE ITEMS IN YOUR INVENTORY, but the refitter blindly takes aurum away from your wallet to buy new ones!!!!
(because it just auto-buys "one of everything". GRRR)

Since the rate of fire for my Carthum Assault Scrambler Pistol was taken away, I've found the weapon to be terrible. I tried the other sidearms, and found that all of them are terrible now, and so I haven't been using any, even though I have a prototype Amarr Logistics suit, and a sidearm has been the point of one. And now there is a sidearm event. That feels terrible. It's like putting salt into a wound, and then taking an ice pick, and digging around in the wound, and scratching bone, and tearing tendons.
Anyway this event has made me more unhappy.
If this game was fun, I wouldn't be playing it.

ASMG is still awesome.
AScP is still awesome for assassination. Don't expect to go toe to toe with it anymore, though. |

Yeah everyone it should be easy to spot commandos. They are the big noticeable character models that stick out like sore thumbs. Maybe CCP will fix them after the event. They just want the people using them to rage due to being seen from miles away. Oh well I probably won't log I for this dumb event.

OK thanks. But I thought that on some dropsuits you can't put a sidearm in the 'light weapon' slot. I remember trying it before. When you try and equip a weapon, it limits your selection to only 'light weapons' for the light slot.
I want to put a sidearm in both weapon slots basically.
