It would have more EHP than my GK.0 which is a little shy of 600 EHP and can sprint over 9 m/s. So, with the Amarr your probably going to get 640 ish EHP and over 8.5 m/s with that setup. You could also use regular plates and then stack dmg mods for a little slower but more straight up assault oriented fit.

You can fit it however you want, Aisha. Okay? If you are good at playing the scout, and your gun game ain't too bad, you can fit it however you want. This isn't Aisha complaining about the Amarr scout suit, this is Aisha asking for advice from the people who have been running scout suit pretty much 99% of the time in Dust. Not going to claim to be a scout great, but I have been exclusively scout for a year, so I can say I have experience in fitting scouts out Though until I have some experience in the new dynamic that is 1.8 it is hard to say what will work. For CQC the Amarr scout will be pretty solid with a SG, using Ferro and Rep, not sure if I will need to fit a Card or not that will come with some experimenting. The other fitting I am looking at (and will likely be the one I use the most) will be the versatility of the ScR and ScP, able to apply alpha damage as a 'sniper', and CQC effectiveness this will be an urban beast, but have versatility to adapt to most situations. I also enjoy using DMR's but I have come to realize that the ScR is not exactly a viable weapon on a scout suit (overheat and you're f*****). I have level V in all of the scout skills: dampening, range, enhancement. I will likely put some precision enhancers in the highs, assault RR for the main weapon, cloak and AS, an enhanced plate or CPX Ferroscale, a CPX Range Extender, CPX Armor Rep, and a CPX Profile Dampener. Overheat is brutal on a scout, but avoidable. No you can't spam the trigger like an Amarr Assault can, but since you should not be engaged toe to toe this is less of a necessity. Having had success just monitoring the shots and switching out to sidearm when needed you increase your engagement ability. Also when they don't know you are around you can fade out before they find you. Positioning is key. KRRROOOOOOM

Constant link placement can be a force multiplier and something I have tried to practice on a Gal scout. Moving links as the battle flows comes in handy. As for which weapon you choose, shotguns are getting a nerf so a k5 scout is significantly weakened. I would use a CR + ScP but a sidearm may not be required if you choose to use a compact nano in slot 2 equipment. In particular on the adv suits, At Proto, I would be tempted to use RE cause 1.8 will be fatty galore and vehicle galore. At adv, i probsbly would only use a std flux, as adv and Proto are not required. If you prefer a dif weapon, sub machines guns work well magsec range will be a great addition to the scout. I don't like AR or RR on a scout but if you've skilled into it you may not have a choice early on. I think scout + cloak + RE might be best combo and just run around being an *******. Amarr can play this game well. The idea of the Amarr is one suit maybe possibilities so using the suit that best fits the map or your goal is where the suit excels.

And because I am new to it, I still overheat it frequently so its not like I haven't had enough experience with overheat. The biggest problem I have with overheat is not being able to switch weapons. But again, with a charge shot and not spamming the R1, you should be ok. Going with the RR in 1.8 could be ok if you really like the weapon, but given how its not clear how much the nerf to it will affect its usage, you may want to not go whole hog with it right away.
