With only 2 nades now, it just got a lot tougher to take out tanks.
Great job CCP.
There was immediate feedback as soon as the devblog came out, but no changes were made. Not surprising, but unfortunate.
Tanks are going to be actually OP now.
Given the new production schedule, expect this to remain the course untli the fanfest patch, which is complete BS. Vehicle rebalancing should have had its first wave of touch ups with this patch, and been refined on the next, not left alone in a badly balanced state.
Real AV doesn't stop until all the tanks are dead.

I'm sorry IWS, but CCP has pretty much shown that they prefer to only update market items for which they are charging Aurum.
I am dubious to CCP making any forthcoming changes that are very much necessary to balance out the current disparity between vehicles themselves, as well as between vehicles and AV.
Reducing the damage mods and AV nades together is just stupid. It will make AV struggle so hard to take out bad tanks, let alone people in my caliber of tank.
Real AV doesn't stop until all the tanks are dead.

you are overly optimistic.
REs only work if the tank hangs around one place. Most of the truly tough (wiping out your entire team) tanks, keep moving, and dont take the same paths.
Putting on a cloak, doesnt allow the scout to magically keep up with an always-moving tank.

Scuse me but the teams are really busy as you said with the fanfest patch, they're working their posteriors off and making any of the current patches too big with split attention could cause some lol bad business.
Remember militia overdrives at 100% speed increase?
Good example of too much all at once.
AV v V will be a topic demanded to be hot fixed by the CPM.

4 months of UP AV and matches dominated by tank spam ... and then they nerf damage mods and AV+ Flux grenades ...
The 1 thing this game didn't need was a further AV nerf .. it really is **** poor to not do something about Tanks and AV .. what use is introducing new suits if Tanks are going to be even stronger in 1.8 ?
They've had 4 months to hotfix tanks and AV .. how they have ignored it completely from 1.8 is beyond me !!!! |

I seen REs work on moving tanks to great effect. Specially when the next AV guy hits him.

for a 3 month patch it seems kind of small, and their were 3 months worth of data leading up to the av issues.
I like the suits but those were a year in the making =/
honestly just feels like the teams were finishing up work they had on their back burners rather then putting together a helpful patch.
i'm thankful as usual, but i'm looking more forward to the fan fest patch. |

Let face it they've had plenty of time to fix AV but chose not too ...there is still a swarm launcher bug as shown in Judge Radamantheus video showing the damage not being applied properley thus making SLs useless and this hasn;t been fixed despite being a bug we've dealt with for 4 months
It shouldn;t be a hotfix it should;ve been in 1.8 |

How old do you think 1.8 is? You know there is a certification process for a patch on the sony network and that video was brought to my attention well after 1.8 was shipped.

Well at least we will finally get WP for chasing those tanks away. I hope they at least do something to mlt tanks in a hot fix. Might be nice to actually pop a 0 sp tank before its 3rd pass.

Delivering on long overdue content is good, but that is just making up for past errors.
Dust itself seems to be an exercise in looking forward, because every patch that is supposed to be the "next big thing" is just a limped out effort not even addressing the issues cropping up.
How long did it take to make changes to the rifles? 8 months? Does CCP really expect noobs to get fed to the lions in tanks until then?
Not that I care for the noobs, but how little does CCP care?

"Seen it happen", and "routinely viable in a decent match" are two very different things.
My experience has been that all too often, even when I manage to catch up to a moving tank and deploy an RE... literally half the time, the RE slides off, nd deploys on the ground. "yay".
If REs are going to be The Official ground troup anti-tank method, then they need some vehicle attraction, a la AV grenades.

Don't really take this personally, but you can go and insert something long enough down your throat to dislodge whatever stick is up your backside.
As a CPM, you have failed to communicate to CCP the necessity of getting Vehicle/AV changes put into this patch, which is already long overdue.
Don't get mad at the playerbase because the people you chose to interface are incompetent, and don't try to adopt and sort of holier than thou attitude with the people who are kept in the dark by CCP.
Considering that CCP made a big stink about Sony working with them to shorten turn around on certification, and given that that certification process used to get done in 21 days for Dice, it is not unreasonable to think that 1.8 was code locked this month, and content locked last month.
What is funny about that is that CCP had their plans in place to nerf damage mods and nades some months ago AND SAID NOTHING. If they just dropped this on you as well, then shame on them.
You should be grovelling right now, because you have not done your job for the players. CCP should be glad that they have you to front this out for them, becuase they are going to go into damage control and STFU until fanfest. Which is pathetic.
They thought this out, didn't ask for feedback, and clearly don't care what the players think about these changes.
If this is the way Rouge does business, expect this game to hit Glitter standards of quality real soon.

Tis' not as easy as you think. In the worst days of AV v V it was being done in the manner you described, haphazardly. These days its a drive by the numbers.
There needs to be a happy balance between gut and numbers but that requires a matured game where one player can spout out a number change and experts in dust would be able to instantly tell you why that number is terrible; then have a dev on the same page that sort of thinking. We're closer but it will take time.
