I'm going to run mine down your throat for as long as I can afford it. Suit wise, it's more balanced now than before, when no one had proto. Now you can play for a few weeks, accrue some LP and run proto as well. Heavies have two guns, one up close, one anti armor... already made a thread about this so I won't get into but basically you just need to use better tactics against them. Come 1.8 I think people won't be wishing for more people running the commando suit. They have two proto damage modules attached to their suit...

It's not the suit, it's the weapon. Think about it, you see a sentinel with a rail rifle and everyone screams "OMG OP THIS SHOULDN'T HAPPEN!!!" but then you see a sentinel with a laser rifle and what are people saying? A rocket launcher? An even bigger HMG? What? I have no problem with Heavies using light weapons, but I seriously wish CCP would redo the total HP by class. Light dropsuits - 250 max, Medium dropsuits - 500, Commandos - 750, Heavies 1,000. Armor plates should add 25 at basic, 50 advanced, and 100 proto. Something similar with shields. Right now, there is just so much HP to some dropsuits that it is clearly the only reason they win gunfights, and I am saying this after having gone 10+ to 1 repeatedly in a militia heavy dropsuit. I've played as a heavy and it is absolutely easier than anything else. Whenever I get killed while playing as a scout after shredding through 1000+ HP of the enemy while dodging and strafing so beautifully it looks like visual music, only to be hit by two bullets from the enemy that rips through my 250 HP, I can't help but be a little frustrated. I attacked from behind. I was accurate. I only had about 1/6 the amount of HP he had, so I die. How was I outskilled? While playing as a heavy, people will get the jump on me but I still turn around and kill them, and so many times I think "I really should have died just then", but I didn't because I simply had so much more HP and could easily turn around in time to kill them. All I think afterward is "How did I outskill them"? 100% Tactical Scout Corporation

Use a Commando suit if you want to use light weapons on a heavy frame... If you are using a basic heavy or a sentinel with a rifle, you are using EHP to compensate for your lack of skill. Also, the "I need a weapon with more range" argument is bullcrap. Forge Guns have 300m of range. Totally not Fizzer94's forum alt. Definitely just a random dude.

And usually why a majority of EVE players that play DUST go from the strongest option to the next. That's what has been done in EVE for over a decade...There are some complaints about OP on the forums but really not much... More complaints that one race is used more then the other.. Which has never been fixed in 0.0 pvp.... Everyone in EVE just trains for that OP thing... and uses it... Are there specialists who will run totally different things and work hard at making them effective? yup thats humanity.. and the strive for individuality at work. It's a rare phenomenon in a CCP game until DUST launch.. where someone will use a vastly inferior suit and weapon to another option and then complain after about the players who use the stronger stuff and how it isn't fair.... The word "Fair" never really enters an EVE players mouth really....unless they have been a carebear for 4 years.

Truth But be wary, there are those who defend what they have, and those who only weigh in on what they have. The key difference is making your own gear better versus making arguments based on the things you have most experience with. I for one think 20GJ Railguns are OP in the sense that they take the role of blasters when it comes to anti infantry yet they work like they are supposed to against vehicles. They literally only create a few viable options in builds/weapons etc. Balance is the absolute last thing they worry about. It completely pulls from the freedom of the game when you decide 90% of the weapons should suck compared to the other 10%. Then there is the rebalances, now the deck gets shuffled. Now something else becomes hugely OP and is the only viable choice while some other weapon takes it turn at the back of the line. But still 10% of the weapons are king over the other 90%. Eve is fun because there are so many different ways to play, Dust completely misses that point.

I constantly put fun first, and yes it me mercilessly slaughtered. Its like most players dot know what fun it anymore. Its so worth it to run cheap fits when you get several kills against someone with 8xs your health or more. But what's the point of playing if you cant have fun? Video games are supposed to entertain and be creative and to have fun. Not mercilessly slaughter any and everyone and ruin fun for others. I don't think CCP knows what fun is. This game is about win, but I make it about fun and pay for it every single time. If you get near the 7+ people I'm repping I'll rip your face off.
