I do believe CCP provides travel, accommodations (a place to sleep) and lunch and diner while you are visiting them. You are responcible for the rest or anything else you need, ex; alcohol or tobacco products.

Paper's very good. You took the core of the CSM White Paper, re-tuned it for Dust, and honed it down to a very concise 3 pages. Great work. :)
Two very minor notes;
I was confused about whether there were going to be alternates voted in. If not, you may want to copy over this part from the CSM WP:
"Alternates are not part of the council structure; seven members are elected to the council and if a member, for whatever reason, is unable to serve on the council, it will carry on without a replacement member."
On the other hand, if we are electing alternates (or will have another method of bringing them in if need should arise) then maybe we should have text in the WP about that.
Second, a very minor lawyerly point that doesn't matter (especially since the CSM version has it too): In the CANDIDATE ELIGIBILITY and VOTER ELIGIBILITY sections, there is no clarification about whether "employees of other gaming companies/games" or "family members of CCP" may vote.
It is highly implicit though that they can. Like I said, not a real issue.

"Anyone that has held a DUST 514 account for more than one hundred and eighty (180) days is eligible to put themselves forward as a candidate for a seat on the CPM, with the following exceptions: employees, volunteers, interns, affiliates, strategic partners, employees of other gaming companies/games, and family members of CCP are all ineligible."
"Additionally, banned accounts and accounts belonging to CCP employees are ineligible to vote. Volunteers, interns, affiliates and partners are permitted to vote."

So would availability to be able to travel for all 3 events throughout the year be a pre-condition for candidacy/membership?
A weekend trip to iceland (2x), and Shanghai would get expensive and time consuming. People who don't own their business, or maybe are in school or have a more restrictive leave schedule might have a hard time taking off time to be present.
Can anyone weigh in on how many days this could really entail? |

Beren: Time commitment for CPM is huge. Both day-to-day and for such events. While I wouldn't assume attendance is necessarily mandatory (not all CSM get to go to all summits and events, for example), CPM hopefuls should expect to be able to set aside a lot of time for the job.
I'd like to be your CPM1 candidate

I believe airfare, hotel, and ticket to the event itself is paid by CCP, but you are responsible for other expenses such as food, which can be expensive.
Like my ideas?
