GGs should only be sent to good friends, corp/alliance mates, and people you want to start war with. Therefore, if you find yourself in a position where your Cooperation leadership is in shambles, morale is an all time low, and your precious cargo hub are being three capped in one go. If somebody pwns me in a particularly skillful way, i like to compliment that person, whether we won or lost that match. If it's a stacked match on both sides, then I'll send a gg as well, even if we murdered the other side -- it's not meant as gloating, it's just meant as a simple salute to other side's willingness to tough it out, and their decision to keep playing no matter how difficult it got. So many times in Dom, you get 1 or two good waves of enemies, then nothing for the rest of the match because they decided to crap out. I came in about halfway in (was a skirmish) and to me it was one of the craziest battles I've ever been in. The entire map was just one rush of activity with everybody running in small groups everywhere and rolling tanks. Was the fastest battle I ever fought lol. You guys finished a hack in the complex with the mushroom building, then all ran out the gate to the enemy redline and rolled in tanks at the same time and cloned them out in about three minutes after everyone arrived at that line. It's actually even nicer than that, it's usually an acknowledgement to someone's contribution to their team (even if the team ultimately lost). In the Olympics it is customary to exchange token gestures of sportsmanship, win or lose. In dust, people only seem to say GG if they win, quality of the player and match be damned.

He has done NOTHING to be deemed worthy of respect. Nothing. If I go into a match solo and have to hold off an organized team essentially by myself, why the hell would I consider it a good game? I wouldn't. Would I gain respect for my opponents from that experience alone? No. Hell no. I'm doing more than any of them. Why would I give any respect for inferior play? Now, if the fight was even and not entirely lopsided it might be a different story. Real GG's are not unwelcome. But those are incredibly rare. Most of you guys just send them after winning a majorly lopsided match, and that's not respectful. It's being tacky.
