Seems like people need to chill the f*ck out. I mean, really?
So some idiot in a video game sent you a "GG" message which may or may not be a genuine thanks for a hard fought battle in a venue where one-sided crapfests are all too common. (those are the ones I generally get, and yes, it is usually when we lose)
If that negatively affects your day in any way (for more than a few minutes - everyone is entitled to a little game rage), you may want to re-evaluate your life. Or, more precisely, the lack thereof.

There is no mutual respect, though. It has to go both ways. The point is the GG'r hasn't actually earned any yet. He has done NOTHING to be deemed worthy of respect. Nothing.
If I go into a match solo and have to hold off an organized team essentially by myself, why the hell would I consider it a good game? I wouldn't. Would I gain respect for my opponents from that experience alone? No. Hell no. I'm doing more than any of them. Why would I give any respect for inferior play?
Now, if the fight was even and not entirely lopsided it might be a different story. Real GG's are not unwelcome. But those are incredibly rare. Most of you guys just send them after winning a majorly lopsided match, and that's not respectful. It's being tacky.
Reading things in context is OP, I guess? I'm not getting the impression from some people in this thread that GG's are ever welcome, but they could obviously just be trolling. This whole thing is getting silly.

Is your internet egos that great that any sign of respect for people who share the same hobby is treated with such condemnation by a small minority of players. I think I will stick around with Dust solely for the drama you all can provide.
Forums are fun like that, lol. It's all part of the CCP meta/mindf*ck play book.
