I can't support a full respec. I could support a refund of sp for all heavy/scout suits.
But I can't support a full drop suit command refund. Why? Simple, I don't want Logi suits to get their SP back and go full on heavy/commando/scout.
Is it spiteful? Absolutely.
Will we see a full refund of all dropsuit commando skills? Most likely. Heck, dropsuit skills may be refunded as well, and if weapons are changed on the scale that was hinted at, they we may see a refund as well.

Dropsuit respec is a must. I know I personally am 100% done playing this game if it doesn't happen. My preferred play style and suit have been made useless by all the stuff they have been adding since 1.3.
So what if I picked Min logi as my scout suit? Their fault for making scout suits so ****** at the start of PC. Now with autoaim and scanners, the only thing useful about the suit is the hack bonus. The large hitbox and high profile make the suit into total garbage now for speed fits (What was originally its best use). And now with the removal of hack bonus, the suit is completely outclassed by the other logis, never mind the scouts.
Personally, Id like a full respec, but I don't think we will get one. CCP has shown time and time again that they cant get the balance equation right. Why do I have so many points in AR when the AR gets outclassed by the combat rifle at all ranges(good call on the CR fitting costs btw, totally legit)? Why do people have to keep their points in Swarm Launchers when they are complete jokes? |

This is the only real answer.
We were forced to choose from a lackluster line up and now the suits and their role is drastically changing. I don't agree with refunds but I do think if the suits are changed like we are thinking they are then SP needs to be refunded.

I go further and call for a full respec, then ill see after the dust settles just how bad the damage is and make SP choices from that point. |

Vehicles just had a respec in 1.7, and nothing as of now suggests they're receiving any big changes, so I don't think a full respec is necessary, but I don't think i would hurt either I guess.

Suit choice often goes hand in hand with weapon choice. A former HMG sentinel who chooses to skill into a scout will have no use for the HMG skills.

At the VERY least, heavy/scout trees are guaranteed.
A logi refund is guaranteed,because they've tied each logi to 1 equipment: i know people in my corp who run gallogi with reptool because they 'want to save the human life', and I see people(myself included) running Minlogi+uplink.
Amarr logis are seen(?) with remotes and a swarm launcher.
That leaves Assaults. Are we going to SERIOUSLY refund EVERY tree EXCEPT assaults?
Say i currently use Min scout. I use this scout to run Uplinks and i utilize 1 dampener and a Range Amp, or 1 kincat and 1 damp.
That fitting is completely made irrevelant by the gallente scout- built in range amp. Built in Cx dampener. 4 low slots that make THAT suit much much much more suited to running an uplink knifer because of its' built in rep, 4 low slots allowing for 1 pg upgrade to use proto uplinks, along with its' flexible nature.
Say now, that i currently run Amarr Sentinel. I hve Armor upgrades up to 5, along with plated and reppers.
But i want to be an AV specialist, who uses the IAFG, along with a energizer, 2 damage mods, and an extender. Now i have 3-4 million SP to 'respecialize' into.
Say i'm a current commando, who utilises the Swarm+ Cr combo already, but come 1.8, i don't want to run my Amarr commando because the Min commando has bonuses to these weapons. Now i've abandoned my Scr operation, my Laser rifle proficiency, my plasma cannon proficiency, and my shotgun operation, all for this 1 suit.
Under 28db
