I reckon he fired 5 or 6 clips of his MLT AR, changed to the sniper rifle at the supply depot then sniped the whole game.
the bullets he fired with the SR would in no way shape or form match the amount from the AR at the beginning.

So what, you don't think he would have done even better if he was using prototype weapons and dropsuits stacked full of the best modules? Tiercide won't solve everything, but it will certainly ameliorate the issue.

Presumably some of the peeps Mossellia was facing were using proto.
And that's my point: to invoke tiericide here is to treat the symptom not the cause. Fix the fundamental problems first and then it will make sense to look at tiericide from a gameplay/aesthetics point of view.
But to undertake tiericide based on the argument that it may ameliorate 'proto'stomping would be an investment of too-limited resources on a goal that does not address the fundamental problems - player education via the NPE, matchmaking and passive ISK faucets.
I support SP rollover.

i went 11 and 2 against 8 guys in an 8 on 2 match the other day.
was only using standard suits, and they were mostly using advanced to proto and were mostly squaded up molon labe and some other corp.
got 490k from the match.
the other guy was running jihad jeeps dealing with their tanks luckily for me it let me deal with their infantry.
i've gone 69/0 in matches before but honestly i was happier with that 11/2 in standard by a lot lol. |

For the question about the 300 meter kill, I switched to a mlt starter sniper fit, and shot two guys in their redline before switching back to a mlt medic starter fit.

There's absolutely no legitimate way you solo'd a tank with the starter AV. The only way you could have solo'd any tank with that fit was if the guy just sat there in an armor tank letting you shoot him in the @ss without activating any modules and not having a repper. Because each volley only does 880 base damage and it takes roughly 2.8 seconds to fire two volleys and then an additional 6.4 seconds to reload & fire a third volley then another 1.4 seconds for the fourth. That's 10.6 seconds you've been firing at this guy to get him close to being dead and you're telling me he's still within range for the other 6.4 seconds it'll take to fire off a fifth shot? If a tank sits there for 17 seconds while you pound away at him; that's not soloing, he's letting you kill him.

Didnt say he was good lol, or fit the tank well. I also had to dance around while he missed me with his blaster.
