There's already been a thread complaining about the Caldari assault bonus, but what about that Minmatar logistics 'bonus'? I specced into the suit because I wanted a fast logi that could set up uplinks, scan the objective, and get a quick hack in. I'm sure lots of other players did for similar reasons. The previous bonus (hack speed) specifically catered to that playstyle. And now CCP are proposing a bonus that is for the exact opposite playstyle - someone who's walking along with his rep tool locked on a heavy. I have NO interest in rep tools and had no reason to expect the most lightly armoured, fastest logi with a hacking bonus to suddenly become the designated chubby chaser. CCP had better be planning a skill refund or they will lose a LOT of players.

The issue isn't just that it's a nerf - those happen from time to time. It's that people who have invested in a role are suddenly told to do a different role instead.

A scout can set up uplinks and scan objectives because scouts have two equipment slots starting 1.8. Seems like you might want to look into that.

A scout will fill this role perfectly as well as thematically post-1.8. The Minmatar scout will have a hack bonus (slightly faster than the Minlogi), two equipment slots, powerful passive scans, and can even have a cloak. That's a problem for everyone unfortunately. I'm now quite firmly in the respec camp, given that so many roles are changing drastically from what they initially were and so much new content is coming out. That's true to some extent but I think the uncertainty is worse for min logis. Here's why. Hives, scanners and uplinks are standard equipment that most players will carry in the course of doing their jobs. So if there's no respec, Cal, Gal and Ama logis are still getting something out of their bonus, even if it's not ideal. But a rep tool is a more unusual piece of equipment that implies a very specific playstyle that's fundamentally different to how most players play (including most logis). If there's no respec, lots of min logis will be stuck with a useless 'bonus'.

We all specced into a certain suit and certain weapons as well as certain equipment/modules/etc. to accommodate a certain playstyle. The new suit bonuses will drastically change the way the suits work, making previously styles with some suits inferior. The new min logi bonuses really killed it for me too. I primarily play Amarr (God be good, we'll get to keep our heat bonuses). The uplink bonuses aren't exactly making it appealing to spec further into Logi. I typically carry hives, a rep tool, and a needle, one of which will have to be swapped for uplinks if I want to take advantage of my suit. I was really considering going into minlogis next, drawn by the ridiculous hack speed I could achieve on a proto suit with complex codebreakers. My dreams will never come true... There's a lot of WP to be had but you can do little to defend yourself and the tool itself is just clunky to use and keep locked on. I'd much rather see a bonus to RE's and Prox mines making the minm logi the demo logi which would make use of it's speed and not force us into front line combat . It has Minmatar manufacturer names at proto levels. If it's only rifles that get nerfed in CCP's TTK increase project, I'm expecting min assault with MDs and FPs to be the new FOTM. In total it's 125% hacking speed, it takes literally three seconds to hack anything.

So I see the pros an cons, but it sounds like you have scout style play anyway an tbh I m sitting on two proto scouts an a adv min LOGI that I skilled just as a suitcase so I could run to the depot, dump equip lock that area an quickly hack, then swap to my scout. An now I won't need that LOGI since it was just a suitcase bulk scout with a hive suit, uplink suit, then I placed bombs everywhere then I switch to scout so I have no need for this LOGI since I dont even have rep tools an I'm not a LOGI , just a smart team player an it was a good support an point technique . But I wouldn't worry too much about a drop suit respec cuz I would be really SUPRISEd if they screwed us out of that, but either way it sounded like ur gonna need two suits anyway so you can use my style in reverse , like use a scout to move in quick , get ur objective , dump equip, then switch to a med frame since scouts are kinda squishy an it might not fit ur fighting style but it ll work for your setup style, and now scouts are real role players now so you might like the scout to use so u can set up at each point for your team dropping links an hives to help prep objective takeovers an constantly move around the map in a cloak, but you might prefer the in your face fighter of a med frame. Base with no points, it already has a 1.1 hack speed (other scouts have 1.05), with maxed Scout skill and hacking, without codebreakers, you have a 1.6 hack speed. While it can't reach the current HackMinLogi (4 codebreakers) it can do some pretty good work base while having some speed and a cloak to assist. xSivartx is my Heavy. There are many like him, but he is my own... So, other Logi's back off, those are my Warpoints!
